/r/CoonTown is back! (self.Drama)

On April Fool's Day, /r/CoonTown was resurrected as /r/BixNood, a name derived from this cartoon by A. Wyatt Man. The new sub even shares some of the same mods as the old sub. So far the only active discussions are a stickied thread welcoming people and a karma grab thread.

Currently /r/AgainstHateSubreddits has a thread about it, and there is also a /r/worstof submission, both submitted by /u/75000_Tokkul.

This is basically a drama time bomb, so please place bets on how long you think it will be until it's banned/quarantined

yeah, it's still chugging along. it's not nearly as influential or active as it was before, but people from GG/pol, lolcow.farm, and the core community around it are somehow keeping it alive. i think it might be on its deathbed, though, as the current owner will probably shut it down once he has to start cutting into his meth and heroin fund to keep it afloat, unless some benefactor who isn't a broke junkie wants to take it over. it's a very important part of internet history so i hope it stays around for a little bit longer and dies when it becomes completely irrelevant.

But its weird you know, when I started going to SubredditDrama and Drama and even now I still am willing to believe that in most cases these really ridiculously aggressive conversations and dramatic happenings weren't generally representative of a person's character?

Like, I'm much more biased towards the idea most of the time it's normal people having one off moments of anger, right?

But most other people don't think that way, and are quick to just make character judgements of someone who gets angry once. And I'm just not on board with that mindset at all.

I think that's why I've got a high tolerance for most drama. I don't just assume everyone's fucked up and the worst possible interpretation of their character.
