You're talking to the immigrants? They don't hear you.

BULLSHIT

Where? Where's the bullshit in sharing a photo of protesters on the Greece-Macedonia border?

[–]Lord_Blathoxi -3ポイント-2ポイント  (1子コメント)

It's a dog-whistle.

I really don't think you're using that word right. A dog-whistle statement is something like a politician saying they're going to "be tough on crime and clean up the streets" to euphemistically communicate that they'll have vagrants arrested without explicitly stating it.

There's no euphemism here, this is just a true-to-life photograph of something that people did. If their actions as depicted in this photo provoke a sentiment people find reprehensible, that's not dog-whistle politics; that's just people having a negative reaction to what is, quite frankly, a disturbing message.

muh dog whistle

Confronted with opposition

no really MUH dog whistle

Still being retarded

MUH DOG WHISTLE

Repeating yourself doesn't make your statement true. This is not an example of a dog whistle. There is no coded language and no hidden meaning. People have been saying that letting in refugees is risky. Someone posts a picture of refugees with a sign that says "Open or Die"

Where is the hidden meaning?

Where is the hidden meaning?

Stop being disingenuous.

There is literally nothing hidden in the message. Use your words.

Yeah, because those rapscallions over at Stormfront are the ones threatening to kill off entire nations. Unlike these poor people. Nope, they are perfectly innocent.

Posting a picture means you're a racist? What am I missing?

[–]shumshum8148 2ポイント3ポイント  (1子コメント)

Look at this deranged little shitslime who sees a picture of people literally threatening to murder others if they don't allow them into their neighborhoods and immediately goes into mental gymnastics mode trying to figure out a way to pin blame on anyone but the people giving out death threats. Then once he can't figure out a way to paint the invaders as innocent, he just gives up and calls everyone Nazis for pointing out that it's even happened.

So on the one hand, you're obviously right about the motivation of sharing this, but on the other hand "That's racist" isn't a terribly compelling rebuttal to the implicit message here.

If this was posted in /r/changemyview as:

"This group of young male refugees is aggressively demanding entry to Europe and threatening to kill people if they aren't let in. Combined with what we know about Middle Eastern cultural attitudes towards women and LGBT people and so on, Frances and Britain's experience of middle eastern immigrants failing to integrate and creating an underclass with a foreign culture and a negative attitude towards the host country, and the mass sexual assaults committed by gangs of middle eastern men in several European cities, an open door refugee policy looks very unwise.

Europe should lower its refugee quotas, put up more controls on illegal immigration, and carefully screen refugees to make sure they'll be compatible with their new culture"

What would you say?
