Help for a Football Manager Project (self.reddevils)

Hi there! I am doing the Manchester United all time team for Football Manager (a database with the greateast teams of the best teams in each country that I'm developing with some friends) and I thought /r/reddevils could help me! I already did the team, so I just need some adjustments, since I'm not a fan like you! Keep in mind that it will have more teams in the database, so probably some players deserve to be somewhere else. I based my choices in games played for the club and honours for the club. Without further ado, the team I made! And please don't kill me for not having Cristiano in this :( he is in Real Madrid.

Yup! Stam in PSV and Van der Sar in Ajax (I would love to put him in here, but my friends insisted in putting him in Ajax).

He is in PSV team (for now) and I really think that the 5 CBs in this team are better and more iconic than Stam. But, who would you trade for Stam?

Depends how you see it.

He was arguably better than Vidic, but Vidic has achieved more for the club.

I barely remember the days of Bruce, and the rest retired before I was born so I don't feel I can comment on them.

You list is fine.

Maybe Steve Bruce jumps out? But I mean...Stam has played less than 100 games for United and you have a big history, so you have a lot of defenders in front of Stam. And thanks!

Stam is regarded by Fergie as the best CB he managed but Bruce is a legend. Thats a tough call

I already think that the squad is huge and having 6 strikers would be too much. But would you trade any of the 5 strikers for Ole Gunnar?

Don't get me wrong, you've done a great job, but it's sad not seeing the man that sealed the treble in this list though admittedly I'd find it hard to take any of those 6 out.

He is the only one I miss from this list. I personally don’t have much connection to for example Jack Rowley, but Solskjaer is one of the reasons why I became a United fan all those years ago.

I am a biased norwegian though. :)

Solskjaer scored the winner in the treble winning CL final. He has to be in! I would swap Sparky (though its tough - I remember him) or Rowley (before my time).

If you are doing an all-time team, maybe De Gea as a keeper? I know he is more modern but hard to argue what he has meant to our team the last 3 years.

Love de Gea, and he's on track, but it's surely gotta be Great Dane as number one.

Agreed. Maybe drop Gregg for De Gea? Gregg has roughly 60 more apps than De Gea (although played during a time when there weren't as many games in a season). Tough call but I think De Gea has to be in there.

I'd put Paul McGrath in there, I love Vidic, Stam, Pallister but McGrath is the best CB I've ever seen, I'd also say Pallister was better than Bruce, so was Stam but I've seen your explanation for that, can't think of another club Pallister should represent more than us though.

I'd say Parker was far better than Duxbury and Moses was better than Butt and Ray Wilkins was better than Carrick although I'm guessing Wilkins is maybe in another team.
