You're right, most likely. Most of us have checked out Reddit's account activity feature and there doesn't seem to be many chances of it being one of us, however there are a few inactive mods we know less about.
The reason for IMN not wanting to declare for certain it was the result of one of our accounts being fucked with is just because of the slight possibility of Falcon, or someone else after getting into his account editing the webpage slightly to make the screenshots look like they were from a mods perspective instead of Falcon's.
So yeah idk, in the end I think I do lean more towards you in believing that one of our accounts was probably compromised, but I just wanted to try to shed some insight on another possibility.
All and all the situation's just stupid and unfortuante all around and I hate that it happened to Falcon, who I had a very high opinion of. MUCH different than how I felt about Mets, even before it started to go downhill.

there doesn't seem to be many chances of it being one of us, however there are a few inactive mods we know less about.
IMO, as someone with a lot of mod experience, this is a problem and if none of your mod accounts were compromised, then you need to make sure you scrub people who have been inactive. Inactive moderators retain access to modmail, mod subreddits and any capabilities you give them, which means in the worst case scenario they can find, search, and publish any modmail correspondence. It's like not changing your passwords after someone with shared access has left. You're just asking for problems.
On other subreddits I've moderated, I've always had a minimum action or activity requirement, something like x number of moderator actions per month and/or x number of modmails/mod discussions participated in. Anyone who doesn't make the cut is auto-removed with an open invitation to re-join if they feel they can commit the time. Granted, lots of subreddits don't have formal time requirements but I've been (and still am) a mod on at least one subreddit that has private correspondence that is private for a reason and protecting these messages with activity requirements is one way to ensure you don't have problems like this.
Frankly, based on this info I'd say one of your more inactive mods probably passed the screenshot off, but the bigger issue your team now faces, falconarrow situation aside, is one of trust. I hope you work it out, because if your mod team can't trust each other, the subreddit can and will go downhill faster than Zack Ryder's first IC title reign.

There's been a few subreddit's that have moderators with compromised logins. Is the mod team at least updating their passwords with the assumption that it was on their end (more mods than falcon, good chance it was a compromised mod account). Note that I am not blaming the mod team for their account being compromised or saying it was them but for your own sakes, it might be a good idea to assume that it was and to update your passwords.

To be fair, there are 15 mods and 2 bots. That's 17 total accounts that could have been compromised.
If all have access to the mod mail, it's entirely possible someone could have compromised FalconArrow's identity. And not even maliciously. What if one of the mods took a screenshot and sent it to a friend, "Look at this!" That friend shares it with a friend, etc.
Or maybe one of the mods lives with roommates who also get on SC. The roommates know the mod is a mod. The mod always leaves Reddit up on their computer. The roommate comes over and checks the mod mail, sees FA's verification email.
It could be possible someone from Reddit's been trying to hack FA's account this whole time. But it's also possible something happened via one of the mod accounts.

There's a lot of possibilities of what truly happened but with how many precautions FalconArrow seemed to take with regards to his identity (weekly password changes, for example), I feel it's highly unlikely that it was due to fault on his end. I think it may have been a mod; for sure without malicious intent for it to get leaked out, but still a mod issue.

If someone just created a random account and started posting hints about upcoming shows that in hindsight turned out to be true, wouldn't people just start naturally gravitating toward those posts? I truly and honestly hope that FalconArrow's job security and life have not been effected by whatever inspired him to delete his account.
However, I stand by the same message I've always expressed here when it comes to insiders. This site does not need an insider. They are not protected enough by directly interacting here. A journalist protects their sources. Users expose them.
ALL wrestling news, no matter how inane, makes it to the front page of this community within an hour(at the absolute most) of breaking. Usually much much faster. In terms of information, we wouldn't miss out on anything without an insider here. We may have to wait a marginally longer amount of time to get the scoop. But that's all.
Having an insider here singles that user out in a potentially dangerous way, leaving them open for abuse and threats from assholes like the guys who do that shit. This community (and possibly modmail, from the sound of it) is only as strong as its weakest link (shout out to #thelads). There no way to know how weak that weak link is.
All of that for what, a 5 minute head start on a spoiler?
The day after Mania, the top thread on the front page was a meta post about a single user. Enough.
Mods - change your policy on insiders. Discourage them. Please. For their sake. Connect them with Meltzer, Keller, Johnson...ANY journalist who knows how to protect sources.

There's also some ego present on the mod team here. I have had exchanges with them about this topic - what it really comes down to is the mods think the value an insider brings to the sub (attention, growth, etc.) is worth allowing a single user to be put in a position more susceptible to harassment and abuse.
Not to mention whomever Falcon's sources inside the company are, and how his presence here affects their job security. There's a number of people put in position to take the fall because the mods would rather grow the sub than protect a user.
I hope they'll change their policy, and stop allowing insiders here. We've had AMAs with the top wrestling journalists /u/inmynothing is amazing at reaching out to people in the industry and bringing them to engage here. I'm 100% the modteam can come up with an awesome solution for helping real insiders get their news out to wrestling fans. But it has to start with no longer allowing "insiders" to directly drop news and spoilers here.

It's certainly suspicious that his visits increase in frequency leading up to Wrestlemania, the show breaks records, he dumps a motherlode for RAW and then suddenly is gone forever as soon as Wrestlemania season is over.

It's smart to do that if you're a quasi-public figure. Sharing verification of your identity with humans who you don't even know who they are other than "a string of Admin privileges ending in some random person making them a mod" isn't smart. Folks need to stop looking so high on the food chain. If you work in the tv portion of WWE a lot of this weekly show info is available to you. I had a friend who worked for wwe a few years ago and he used to have full scripts hours before the show. Trust me, he was very low on the totem pole.
