I love Israel and the Israeli people. I have never lived there but have been multiple times. Most of the region is dominated by powers who want to destroy Israel, so they must defend themselves.

I agree, many people talk about how Israel is bombing palestine and others, but they are basically at war, and if they lost they woupd probably be genocided

Interesting, I wonder what you think of the Jewish terrorism in Palestine after the war? My Grandpa was posted there after the war with the British army in the 40s and witnessed it first hand. They booby trapped British soldiers bodies that they had murdered. Was this the right way of doing things? I agree in defensive action, but it seems too often this bad side of Israeli history is overlooked.

                  The Israeli are not acting well in my opinion. Defending is one thing but the whole conflict down there is very one-sided. Building walls to keep the Palestinian people outside or at one certain place is something the Nazi's did with the Jews. I certainly don't understand their behaviour.

                    Is it really that difficult to imagine that a Jew who survived the Holocaust is happy that there is a country today where Jews are a majority don't have to be afraid of being persecuted like they were in many other countries for hundreds of years? And is it also that difficult to imagine that being happy that such a country exists does not mean that you support every single thing its government or authorities do?

                    In my experience, many of the Jews I've seen who have survived the Holocaust or have family members who did do tend to be quite pro Palestinian or at least sympathize with them.

                    I also think Israel should have their own country and I believe every person has the right to be happy and free.

                    The thing I think a lot of people don't realize Is just how tiny Israel is, it's smaller than New Jersey, and over 8 million people line there, think of that, there is a constant was to destroy a country that is smaller than 47 of the states. To put that in another perspective, the world's largest cattle ranch (Anna Creek Station in Australia)is LARGER than the entire country of Israel.

                    Things aren't that simple. I'm not saying Israel is doing everything perfectly, but.. when Israel was founded according to the UN partition plan, it wasn't them that declared war upon everyone of its neighbors.
