I'll agree that he had some games where he didn't play very well. Thing is, the very very first time he had to play against a stronger and faster player, people were already criticising him before even playing. Was it against Swansea that he did great? Maybe that was the first bad game he had, but people have been saying this every single time and every time he does well it is shunned.

Evertonian here. To be fair, he was dreadful back in December/Janurary. He was handling the ball far too much and almost cost us some goals. This game he's been good defensively, but now he is getting rid of the ball quicker without taking away from his distribution ability.

That pass was extra frustrating because it was on for about 10 minutes before he actually played it. Sums us up in a nutshell. Slow, too slow and by the time it's done it's either too late or executed poorly.

I do not understand why we paid so much for him just to sit on the bench. Like for like for Lingard, who hasnt been awful today. I actually don't mind Lingard, but Memphis has the potential to be special but he can not find time under LVG. I thought that the dutch connection would make them inseparable. Rashford and Martial have been excellent so far.

I hate to say it as he's such a likeable character but Mata should go, he's just not up standard. He can't play on the wing, he's effective in the middle every few games which isn't enough for a top team.

Lingard is playing well in that position which is good.

Don't have too many complaints. It's been an entertaining game. Kept Everton relatively quiet considering the firepower they have (Blind has been great). Everton fans will probably feel the same about our attacking performance in that half though.

I'd like to see Mata get more involved in attack. Another half has past him by. Right flank in general is lacking.

Rojo has disappointed this season honestly. I thought he'd offer more going forward and he's not exactly assured in defence either

Rojo started off shaky. Hopefully he gets it together 2nd half.

Blind playing like a rockstar.

Carrick and Schneiderlin aren't being mobile enough in the midfield. And Mata adds to that lack of mobility though he is playing RW. Right sided attacks have been ineffective unless its Martial who was roaming over there.

Rashford's playing with some heart, which is good to see. Martial has threatened, and I think the two of them may just combine for something.

Lingard's been useful too, it's nice to see him help out with some defensive work.
