10' Ten minutes in and both teams are feeling each other out. Everton do look dangerous while attacking though, mostly coming down Rojo's side.

15' There haven't been any major chances either way but Everton are certainly up for this.

17' Martial comes close! Martial and Lingard play a one-two and it leads to Martial smacking a shot across goal (that was deflected slightly off Baines) just wide of the far post. Should've been a corner but it's a goal-kick.

24' Rojo gets excited and tries to volley a Mata cross from about 30 yards out, near the corner of the box but it's nowhere near the contact he would've needed.

29' Lukaku has been a nuisance with his physicality and he's bullying our centre backs. Rashford and Martial are doing the same on the other side using their pace.

34' United have been putting Everton under a lot of pressure in the past five minutes but there's been a lack of good chances at goal.

37' Martial has been looking particularly bright today. Everton's tactic has been long balls over the top to Lukaku but thankfully De Gea has been off his line rapidly numerous times to snuff that out.

Agreed. I would like to see Young come in on the right and Darmian switch to the left. Rojo likely will be gassed but 60 minutes. Darmian should be able to stop Deulofeu and they aren't attacking on the other half of the pitch. Should allow us to attack more.

Says a lot about Mata at the moment that I prefer Lingard at 10 by some way.

He adds so much more workrate, defensive stability and fluidity to our play there.

He hasn't even got playing on the right as an excuse because he's coming inside and playing a very free role right now. But our entire right side is impotent because of it as there's noone to draw players away for Darmian to cross.

Carrick hasn't looked great all season. Admittedly he's had the odd 'good' performance, but i think he's finally declining.

I mean, I guess he could but he wasn't exactly impressive when he played there. Also, he's just coming back from an injury so there's that.

I really wish we had a player like Shaw on the right too, I think Mata would play so much better if he didn't have to worry about tracking back as much. Sort of like Memphis on the left before Shaw broke his leg.
