If this makes you sad then you should watch footage of slaughterhouses, where animals suffer much more on a daily basis.

Edit: Downvoting me will not stop animal suffering. Not eating meat will.

Yeah cause this is totally the perfect moment to rally people to your cause. It doesn't make you seem insensitive or opportunistic at all.

But meat is so tasty. Dogs, not so much.

How do you know?

When I run out of cow, pig, chicken, and fish, I'll let you know how I like dog.

So in other words, you will never do it. May I ask why?

Hahahahaha yeah I'm going to keep eating meat 😋

Why?

1) It's delicious.

2) Animals are hunted and suffer in the wild every day. It's a fact of life.

3) Because of my profession, I've had the opportunity to work with many food processing sites (notable example: Perdue Chicken Farms manufacturing in Tarboro, North Carolina) and based on what I've seen on the largest of scales, the process for mass-executing chickens (500,000 chickens per day, oftentimes) is in my opinion way more humane than what can be observed in the wild in a predator-prey relationship. It's not perfect, but it's not evil either.

The world needs to eat, and in the end, I view this as a fact of life.

I would like to hear your opinion. Why do you find meat processing evil? If meat-processing was 100% humane, would you still abstain from eating meat?

1) It's delicious.

True, but there are many alternatives which are often just as good.

2) Animals are hunted and suffer in the wild every day. It's a fact of life.

In the wild they are free. In slaughterhouses they suffer all their life. For example: pigs get their testicles ripped out just after their birth. Cows are raped and getting their children taken away. Male chickens are killed just after birth. I think their suffering is unnecessary. Just because they occasionally suggest in the wild doesn't mean that we have permission to torture them.

Switch chickens to humans (or cats and dogs) and you wouldn't state that sentence. Why is it OK for certain species?

I think that there is no such thing as humane slaughter just like there is no humane slavery or humane rape.

Sorry to answer twice, but this video explains my opinion:

So glad I'm eating a double bacon cheeseburger while I read this BS!

Edit: Oh sorry. My comment has just as much relevance as yours, so I thought I would share.

Mine does have relevance. The person cares about animals but probably eats meat. Meat causes the suffering of billions of animals. Not realizing this is called cognitive dissonance.

It's not the people eating meat, it's the corrupt and sick people who own those slaughterhouses.

It's supply and demand. Without the people buying meat, the slaughterhouses wouldn't exist. That's good though, because we can make them stop by simply not buying meat, and eating mock meat instead. (You should try it, you will be surprised because some of it tastes almost exactly like meat :D)

It's easier to get rid of those horrible people than making everyone stop eating meat. I'm a chef so I have no choice :p but you can buy from certified farms, and raise awareness about it on a larger scale, but it's a problem I think we will se less of.

I truly hope we will see less of it :)

Please don't. I know that the idea that animals were actually murdered for your meat might sound retarded to you, but t is actually true. Also meat causes cancer and heart disease, so you won't even do yourself a favour. If you want to eat meat, try some mock meat, some of it tastes extremely similar to real meat.
