Maybe Valencia for Darmian...we are not rotating too much, so 8-9 from 11 players would be right.

yeah I'd feel a lot safer with Valencia today.

Everton are a fast team, I'm terrified starting darmian against them.

Personally, I'd have Young > Rojo

Wtf is with people in this sub shitting on Rojo?? He's a good player..

I'm not saying he's a bad player, I just think he's more of a CB rather than a LB (and yes, I know he plays as a LB for Argentina), but Young's much more better attacking IMO.

So you want to play a guy out of position who hasn't played in god know's how long against a team that only know how to attack??

Well Young played LB/LWB quite a lot last season, but yeah I get your point. I suppose Young could be a substitute then (if we're drawing/losing)- it'd make more sense also considering that he's just fresh from injury.

because he's slow mistake prone and constantly out of position. he's an average CB but a terrible lb.

for this match I can see the merit in playing him to compete with lukaku in the air but generally I'd rather play Ashley.

Christ alive, I feel like I'm watching a different player to you..

He's definitely not slow (he's pretty quick actually), he's made a couple of mistakes over almost 2 seasons and his positioning certainly isn't that bad.

I admit his positioning is something he could work on but it's not exposed as much at LB considering how he operates there, he's more defensive minded at LB than he necessarily needs to be.

I whinge about rojo in every match thread. he's constantly out of position, losing easy duels, forgetting to track runs.

he's slow for a wing player compared to Valencia and young.

he's not awful but he's just not a winner and nowhere near the standard required. he was ok as a bench option last season but this season, I said we should keep him hoping he'd kick on but he's gone so far backwards this season.

the injuries haven't helped but we don't have time hoping he'll get over it and even then at his peak he doesn't have the talent to justify the gamble.

I have the same issue I have with Phil Jones. he just has no brain for sensing danger in a pitch. esp compared to young who seems to be one of the best at sniffing out a potential weakness in our shape.

Yeah look, his positioning isn't great at CB but would you really take Young over Rojo against Everton??

He's actually pretty bloody quick even for a wing player. I dare bet Valencia and Young aren't the sharpest at the moment.. Seriously, I'm not sure where your basis of comparison lies.

There's still a bit for him to work on but I can see him being an important part of the squad for the next 3/4 years easily.

There's no need to go more attacking in our lineup. Especially since Everton have some great attackers and are atrocious in defence.
