David De Gea was in inspired form against Everton at Old Trafford last season and Manchester United's Player of the Month for March would happily take a repeat personal performance and team result on Sunday.
After collecting the prize for his heroics last month, the goalkeeper sat down with MUTV and reflected on the 2-1 victory over the Toffees last term, when he saved a Leighton Baines penalty and produced a host of world-class saves, including two in the dying moments of the game.
De Gea has fond memories of the last meeting between the sides at Old Trafford, describing it as "the perfect game".
"As a goalkeeper, you want that type of game – you save a penalty and make two or three good saves and win the match. It’s the perfect game," recalled the Spaniard.
"It’s difficult to explain how you feel in that moment [when you make the saves]. I felt so happy to see Old Trafford like it was that day, it was amazing. Old Trafford is always special but, when the team play well and things are good and you score goals and win games, it’s unbelievable.
"It was a really special game for me," he added. "I remember it well. I remember the fans singing my name and we won and, hopefully on Sunday, we can do the same."
