I still like Bernies approach. Any speech worth that much money must be really really good and should be shared with the nation.

I wonder if someone offers to pay her her "standard speaking fee" of 225K that she'll release it to the public?

Eh, this is one thing I don't have issue with her on.

Dubya, and Bill both do payed speeches Obama will too. They have something people are willing to pay for and they want to make money.

I don't give two shits if a former President wants to give high-priced speeches and keep the text of those speeches a secret.

I do care that a Presidential Candidate won't release the text of their paid-speeches. She's asking us to trust her to run the country for 4 years.... yeah, what she was paid to say to Wall St. is relevant and yeah, it's a reasonable demand to know what she said.

Once she's done running for office (as former Presidents are), the people no longer have a vested interest in what she has to say. Until that point, she has no business keeping her thoughts on the economy a secret. We have a right to know what she thinks about the economy and Wall St.

My guess is the speeches are boring as fuck and she's not releasing them to distract from her other scandals.

The problem is I doubt that any of that money was paid for her to open her yap. My guess is that money was paid for future services rendered by president Hillary... Just my opinion though.

I'm not inclined to disagree with you... however I still want to know what she said. According to people in attendance it was very pro-Wall St. And, considering they invited her back and paid her again and again to give more speeches, I'm inclined to believe them.

What she says matters because she's asking us to trust her to run the damn country. Even if I were a fan of her public positions, I'd still have massive reservations about voting for someone who refuses to reveal her thoughts on the economy.

I agree with you. I was just meaning that I personally believe that the money was more about the power and influence game than it ever was about her giving a speech. I think for all they cared she could have stood up there and read Mary Had a Little Lamb with a wink and a nod and they would still have shelled out the big money.

I don't think it's so much that she did them as it is who she did them for. They were speeches for some of the big Wallstreet banks that she claims to oppose. Secondly she won't release the transcripts of the speeches because she probably did nothing but praise the banks. Also, she was paid a ridiculous amount for these speeches and some people see it as a donation that she will owe them a favor on return for.

You don't pay Hillary Clinton $200K per speech to motivate your employees. You pay her $200K per speech because it is legalize bribery.

This is all it is, payback for consideration while the person was in office. The high advance book deals are another way they payback "their" politicians.

Ya, I don't see an issue with a bunch of people paying to see a First Lady speak

Yep, she believes in it just as much as Stalin did.
