About this project

My proposal in short is to gather a team of experts together in order to enact my theory that a common language can be developed between humans and wild dolphins through the use of an interpretative computer program. This computer program will be able to produce the sounds that dolphins already produce, however it will just be gibberish by itself, but with interaction with the dolphins by showing objects and then a computer generated sound to associate it with the object we hope to build up at first a rudimentary communication system with the dolphins that can be added to over time, the study will take many years, so the more that can be raised the better.

Dolphins are facing ever increasing threats and hardships due to mans encroachments into their habitat and better communication with them can only help to improve their lives. What could be better if they could actually tell us what's wrong and what needs to be done right?

This is a purely scientific proposal that I wish to be free from any military, government or corporate involvement or interference and as such all data collected will remain free from such organisations such as these. This is why we could never approach anyone else except you the public as they would want to use our research for things other than the welfare of the dolphins.

I want to make this very clear that at no point will this research be used to make any kind of profit, this is pure research and only to be used to benefit dolphins.

Obviously the way you can help best is to donate as much as you can, but even $1 will help, but one more thing that we really need everyone to do is to spread the word to anyone that you can think of and tell them about this project, it will accelerate reaching our funding target and hopefully raise much more than we anticipate, please do so even if you don't think this is worthwhile and don't donate to it, your friends who do may thank you for it.

Risks and challenges

The only challenge we face at the moment is securing the required funding.
