I found out about TRP/TBP recently (self.TheBluePill)

A few weeks ago, a friend of mine referenced TRP on a popular social-networking site and what I read there was so pathetic that I literally just had to share.

Reading between the lines, I'm pretty sure that 100% of that subreddit is just the blind leading the blind and it's so obvious that no one thinks for themselves. It's a bit like a car crash that you want to look away from but you can't because it's just that horrific.

Having said that, does anyone here just feel a bit sorry for them? I hope one day that its members will leave the echo chamber and realise they don't need to be angry anymore. Must be F'ing exhausting.

Yeah, there's certainly a lot of pity in with the cringe and the revulsion, but to varying degrees. Many of the people who get ensnared in it are just young, dumb, angry, awkward kids. As someone who was all of those things to varying degrees during my adolescence, it's not hard for me to understand how they ended up in that place. And yes, I feel sorry for them. I also hope they figure themselves out before they leave the online forums and start hurting actual people though. Because in addition to misguided edgy youths, TRP also has a healthy chunk of full on serial rapists. Who advocate rape tactics to the aforementioned youths. And I have feelings about them too, but pity is not predominant among them.

I do feel a lot of pity for them because a lot of times their hatred of others is just an externalization of their hatred from themselves.

I don't feel sorry for them at all, not after they kept trying to tell me that my girlfriend isn't attracted to me. I have no sympathy for them whatsoever. They aren't worth that type of effort or attention.
