Renato Sanches has his “bags ready” for Manchester United. According to Multi Desportos, the Portuguese midfielder will join José Mourinho at Old Trafford at the end of the season.

The website says both the player and the manager have a “promise contract” meaning they sign for the club next summer. According to the claims Manchester United, by getting the pair, would be trying forget the bad season and also giving a shot to bring Mourinho’s glory days back with a chance in charge of the team.

Multi Desportos claims that neither Benfica or Mourinho have confirmed the information publicly because the club want the midfielder to be focused until the end of the season, while the manager wants privacy during his last days of vacation. They state 'The Special One' would only talk about his future in June.

We have never covered the news from Multi Desportos, so we can’t say if they are either reliable or it’s an April Fools' joke. The latter would seem unlikely, because April Fools is more an English language thing. In any way, they at least mean to be serious about the allegations.

This could be a 'best of' compilation of Portuguese opinions, all taken to the extreme. It's considered likely in Portugal that Mourinho will end up at Old Trafford, and also that Renato Sanches to Manchester United is on the cards.
