All I did was try to be considerate.

I figured it would be the decent thing to do to make note of subreddits on the list that actively hate certain races or types of people. I was not trying to get into a political argument about what does or does not count as racist. If there are a lot of people from a group complaining about it why not just be sensitive to them? I did not even remove the subreddits from the list. I was just trying to let EVERYONE enjoy a reddit tradition that was supposed to be fun for everyone.

For doing that people have attacked me, sent me nasty pms, and a couple people have downvoted my post history. Both here and on my sub /r/aprilfools I had to deal with these trolls. So I am done. I put a lot of work into my posts but if it is that important to people that we all laugh at trans people and different races then someone else can do the post.

But this April Fools day tradition has put a ton of reddits worst traits on display and everyone is acting like its OK or actually defending the places that do these things. I think a lot of reddit users dont realize what they are supporting because people try to spin it. There are lots of people complaining about these places and they have evidence but no one wants to listen because people do not like whining. People also usually ignore opinions that come from people they dont particularly like like non-passing transgender people or people with mental illness or black people. I DO know whats going on so if I do nothing and continue to participate in reddit then I am just as guilty. I was not raised like that.

/r/TumblrinAction is a HATE SUB

They post and spread the "helicopter meme" used to mock people that identify as trans or genderfluid or anyone that doesnt fit. Jokes like this are NOT harmless. Trans people kill themselves every day because of the kind of abuse they take.

They constantly target people for harassment, and their victims consist almost entirely of women, children, and the mentally ill. They link directly to tumblr instead of taking screenshots and blocking out information that could be used to track the victim down.

The people defending them say it is all just for fun, and I believe they are having a good time. There are a lot of sick people that enjoy bullying people that are already down, but reddit should not be a place where that behavior is considered OK.

That leads to the next topic, today tumblrinaction is having a great time by impersonating and joking about /r/TheRedPill. This sub doesn't require a breakdown because the content is very blatant and widely discuss. This sub posts strategy guides every day that literally tell their members to do things that count as date rape under California law which is where reddit is. Why do we tolerate this sub existing? And what could anyone possibly find funny about it? You're literally laughing and joking about real rapes committed against real women.

Next is /r/KotakuinAction which most of you probably have not heard of. But you probably have heard of GamerGate unfortunately and kotakuinaction is their home base. For those of you who do not know, GamerGate is a movement that was started to harass a woman who cheated on her boyfriend and then moved on to sending rape and death threats to women working in and around games and technology. Every outlet that has reported on them has detailed their disgusting activities and they have ruined the lives of several real people. The people who defend them say that all that stuff is done by the rest of GamerGate who are all somehow contained on a small site called 8Chan. Oh, but dont visit 8chan because its full of child pornography. So you can add pedophilia to the list of GamerGates activities. Why is reddit, and its users, OK with this subreddit existing?

But that is not just an 8chan issue, reddit is full of pedophilia too. They got rid of jailbait but there is a limitless amount of child porn under the cover of the Rule 34 and cartoon "NSFW" subreddits dedicated to shows ranging from Pokemon to Steven Universe. These subs depict drawings of children engaging in often violent sex acts that can only be described as nightmarish. Like jailbait these subreddits are somehow not against the law, but that does not change the fact that reddit and the community that supports it are enabling pedophiles and helping encourage them to act.

And then there is /r/The_Donald. What can you even say about this sub that they don't say themselves. They proudly fill reddits' front page with pictures and jokes celebrating racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and every other brand of hate there is a name for.

Even if I sat here listing subs all day I couldnt possibly list every hateful harassment sub, pedophile safe haven, or rapist training guide.

And most of the time most users tell themselves they are not part of these things and reddit is not just one place but today proves otherwise. Look at how people are responding to this stuff on aprilfools, treating it all like it is just a joke between friends. If you are not standing against this stuff and you think its ok to laugh about you are a guilty party. Your upvotes approve and reinforce these sick spaces and urge them on to keep hurting people.

Something needs to be done and needs to be done now. We all need to speak up together and tear these places down. We cant joke with and tolerate the people that run and use these subs, we need to demand that they ALL explain themselves now! If you are letting these people feel a sense of community with you then you are doing harm. We need to demand answers from them and action from the admins NOW.

You can ignore me or downvote me because I am already getting plenty of that, but now that you have seen this post you have absolutely no excuse not to act against these bigots, harassers and sex criminals.

To the people who want to respond by defending these places and yelling at me go ahead. I want you to out yourselves.

I only learned about a lot of this myself over the past several hours so I am sure there is a lot more that needs addressed. And please make sure you upvote so they cannot bury this.
