Exclusive: Manchester United complete shock first signing of the Jose Mourinho regime

MANCHESTER UNITED have begun their summer rebuild by snapping up exciting prospect Disaray Follop.

The Turkish youngster will join the squad ahead of the China tour and is understood to have been hand-picked by Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese is set to take over from Louis van Gaal this summer and made 16-year-old Follop his No 1 target.

And his signing is the biggest clue yet that Mourinho's arrival has already been rubber-stamped by the United board.

United have committed to pay Trabzonspor £1.5million up front, with a potential outlay of up to £12m depending on how successful he is.

He is expected to compete for a place in the first team straight away which puts Memphis Depay and Adnan Januzaj's futures in doubt.

Follop broke into the Trabzonspor first team in December and scored a 14 minute hat-trick in his second appearance.

He has since scored another 14 goals in 11 games.

Jose Mourinho seals his first Manchester United signing

He comes from a farming family and credits milking cows as a kid for his electric pace, claiming they helped beef up his leg muscles.

In training last year he was clocked running 100m in 9.93 seconds.

He also possesses a thunderbolt shot with unnerving accuracy, leading to comparisons with Cristiano Ronaldo.

He generally plays from the left but is equally capable cutting in from the right and stunned spectators at a youth match earlier this season when he crashed an effort off the cross bar from 30 yards before running into the box and finishing the rebound.

"I'm ready for United," he said. "I hope they're ready for me."

His father Hasan Follop is excited about the move but has expressed concerns over the agricultural capabilities in Manchester.

"It's a big move him," he said.

"He can do great things at Manchester. But it's difficult for the family to commit to move.

"We have a big season of our own coming up with the crops. Disaray must continue with his commitment to us and the family."
