After a period of silence, Saygus, the company behind the long-delayed Saygus V2 smartphone, has taken to its official Twitter account to say that buyers can expect their devices to start shipping sometime in Q1 2016. Going a bit further, Saygus says that some business differences with one of its manufacturing partners are to blame for the delays. From Saygus:
The Holidays were busy and we apologize for the lack of updates! Our second ODM in 2015 was released for the vast difference in biz policy
— Team Saygus (@Saygus) January 18, 2016
It has been a great relief not having to count on the words from a partner who may or may not provide us with accurate details or updates.
— Team Saygus (@Saygus) January 18, 2016
Details: We hoped to ship in February, but the Chinese New Year eats up a couple of weeks then. Our CES 2016 projection of 'Q1" appears safe

Unfortunately for those who put in a pre-order for the Saygus V2, delays have come to be expected. Prior to the most recent tweets, Saygus stated that it had hoped to ship in October, then November, before going silent altogether throughout December of 2015. Hopefully the manufacturing problems that caused the first set of delays are indeed taken care of, and those that are still waiting on a V2 will see them soon.

Might as well be vaporware
Lam I Am
I remain skeptical. I still think it's all vaporware.
OnePlus must have got a hold of them.

No one should buy one of these anymore, they are incredibly outdated.

Are these still running Snapdragon 801s?

The only thing it had going for it was incredible specs, but now, it's outdated.

I don't even remember what kind of specs this thing had. What was the big deal?
Posted with my HTC One A9.
If I remember correctly, the special thing about it was that it had 2 Micro SD slots

This company is a bunch of liars.
They lied many times before and announce a false shipping date.
They said the shipping date in April 2015, May 22nd 2015, Fall 2015, October 2015, by Christmas, and now in Q1 2016.
Very terrible business, and I don't doubt if they are only scammers.
Does anyone even care about this phone anymore? The company is a joke and the specs are now way outdated for the price. I'd be demanding a refund, if I was stupid enough to preorder this **** from them.

Are they telling this to twitter or are they telling this to their investors?
The business difference is probably that saygus can't pay them.
It's not even worth it. It has a measly 801 Snapdragon chip. Vaporware. They original didn't go through. Next bit Robin is better

I think these guys found out the hard way how hard it is to be competitive in the android world

This **** is laughable. They tweeted out earlier today too that they were not only giving away a free case and a free battery to anyone who pre-ordered, they were also going to give them 50% off their next device. Why they would consider 50% off their next device a "bonus" for buyers is beyond comprehension when they haven't even delivered their FIRST phone.

I pre ordered this phone a year ago, only to cancel for refund after a lot of BS. Now torn between the nexus 6p and moto x pure, two excellent phones! The V2 is no longer relevant and the company is highly suspect, I advise you all to pass.

"It has been a great relief not having to count on the words from a partner who may or may not provide us with accurate details or updates." ---> the most ironic thing I have read all year......
Running joke! These guys can't stop lying. We all know it's a vaporware

The 801 was outdated before its original release date

Now that they are a year old..."Hey let's actually release this phone and see if any antique dealers buy one or two."

I don't think it was a scam, just think they got a bunch of very similarly minded people together, who as a collective drove thier phone into a wall. Just so consumers could spend $400 on two sd cards for some unknown reason.
