I think there's a difference between being an asshole to stick up for yourself, and just being an asshole.

Tossing his cloths on the ground probably isn't going to do anything, and is still a dick move. Whereas moving said clothing or dying is is also a dick move, but firmly says "can you fucking knock that off already?"

Maybe you haven't had to deal with people removing your clothing from the dryer, but it's an utter fucking pain. You schedule your time around how long that will take, get it paid, then find out someone fucked with you, and said clean clothes you were about to don for XYZ going on tonight? Well, looks like you're late.

That happens a few times? Sure as shit you're not being a dick anymore, you're putting your foot down and dealing with an utter cunt.

My time is money. You fuck me out of multiple hours of my life, and as far as I care, that's worth a couple hundred in frustration pay alone. Respect is a two way street. You have literally no respect for me or my property? Sure as fuck I'll treat your stuff with no respect either, expect when you've earned my disrespect, I'm not just going to ignore you, no. I'm going to do my best for you to realize you're an intolerable asshole.

Obviously none of this is aimed at you, but by god I do not see what OP did as "Being an asshole." Dude stood up for himself against a douchy bully. I applaud that.

I didn't say that. I said it's unreasonable to need to tell someone not to fuck with your stuff, and to get to your point, yes, I feel fucking with someone's stuff after they've fucked with yours multiple times is reasonable. 110%.

Dude's not my kid. Sure, I could have said something, but why the fuck should I need to? It'd be like asking someone not to spit on you. If someone spits on me, that sure as fuck isn't going to be my reaction.

Depends. I've had items ruined by being moved. I had a shit old roomie who'd move my stuff, some of which went missing behind the machines and otherwise. Had a really dope hat absolutely destroyed.

And again, moving someone's shit is not reasonable. If ruining someone's night is "just inconvenient" in your mind, and we keep in mind my time isn't free, then yes, sure as shit, destroying someone's clothing is just as inconvenient. I mean, all they have to do is buy more. I cannot teleport back in time to fix my schedule after they fucked it.

You keep missing the point of retaliation. It's not meant to be nice, respectful, or civil. It's meant to get someone to fucking stop their shit. If it is successful, it's successful. I fully applaud the piss and garbage options when someone has ruined my night multiple times. They can go pick up a shift and have a ruined night in return.

We are animal. We live in a society we define. I define people treating me with no respect and fucking with my property to be intolerable. As you can see, several others agree. Maybe rethink your priorities, we do live in a society, after all.

You may wish to reconsider what subs you visit. This is literally full of these kinds of stories. We get you disagree with it, we, as a group, do not.
