I don't understand how any one, man or women, in this Sub could identify as "Blue Pill." I thought the metaphor was the Red Pill enlightened you to the truths of the world. No matter how you feel about the truth, it exist independent of your feelings. However the Bill Pill represents ignorance, and an unwillingness to learn the truth. It means you'd rather believe a comfortable lie. That would mean that anyone knowing the truth is then Red Pill by definition.

So how can people then say they're Blue Pill if they know what the Red Pill believes? If the metaphor holds true, that means everyone in this sub, we're all awake in the Matrix...and in fact anyone trying to keep the status quote would actually be "Agents of the Matrix," not ignorant Blue Pillers that have no idea what's going on.

TL;DR: How can you be a blue piller if you know the truth about the red pill?

Calling ourselves blue pill is a tongue in cheek nod to how RPers perceive us, not an accurate representation of how we view our own beliefs.

It's a mockery of the idea that we're willfully ignorant, not an acceptance that 'taking the red pill' is a move towards enlightenment.

Winning a debate with them is not what you should be aiming for if you want to troll them. Successfully trolling a redpiller involves getting them to realize how much they truly hate themselves.

Because they do hate themselves at their core, almost all of them I am sure. And they will deny to your face, but if you've gotten them to ponder it, you've won.

I suspect that people who choose to label themselves BP are doing so to make a statement of a more complete rejection of RP ideas. Someone who self-labels as neither is more likely to consider themself somewhere in the middle, lining up with RP in some areas but not in others.

That's where you go wrong. TRP picked up the name because they felt like they found some kind of hidden truth. Others, and probably most reds, are not that committed to the metaphor nor how accurate it is. Instead blues just pick up a name that is in opposition, the blue pill. Don't over analyze it.

That's how I interpret it, and that's what the purple pill debate wiki says, but there's constant back and forth on both sides trying to decide on a definition. It means different things to different people, depending on the current topic.

This seems like a case of taking the "Redpill" metaphor too seriously. In this forum, the Blue Pill represents a more optimistic, idealized view of human nature/existence. Whereas Redpill exposes the "bitter truths" by combining evolutionary psychology, praxeological reasoning from a set of premises, unflattering heuristics, and a disdain for ideals. They chose the brand Redpill due to the feeling of bitter cynicism that erupts when one uncovers "The Truth."

Again, do not look at the metaphors for the Bluepill and Redpill too deeply or too much. We're dealing with brands here. The Nike brand doesn't ensure victory -- the just sell shoes. Redpill doesn't automatically hold enlightenment -- they just sell a perspective. "Bluepill" - in essence - sells an opposing perspective, distant from the metaphor.

    I don't identify as any pill but I don't identify as RP because. I don't fit the stereotypes of what women should be and because RP isn't in my self interest.

      Link to anywhere that TRP says "women should be like [anything], full stop."

      There's plenty of "women should be like [X] if they want a successful relationship," but that's clearly a far different statement. Offering advice ("women should be like [X]") if someone has a specific goal in mind ("if they want a successful relationship") =/= a blanket statement that no matter who you are or what your goals are you should behave in a certain way. You're conflating advice for proselyting.

      The fact that it would force me into a role I don't wanna take and isn't advantageous to me. RP is a way of getting submission and selflessness out of women who they don't want to commit to or give anything to.

      Are you sure that's what the RP is about? It seems more about either avoiding women or just trying to have sex with them.

      I've yet to met a single guy who calls themselves red pill that wants a family or a submissive women. They either want a pump and dump or nothing at all. Which! is sad, at least I think so.

        In modern western society women controlling men is a lot more common. In fact it's gotten to such a level that a man who insists on his own autonomy and refuses to be controlled and browbeaten is called a misogynist and is accused of wanting serville submissive women when that not even close to being the case.

        Most men just like some peace and quiet, no power games no bitchyness no controlling no shaming, no browbeating and no pushy nasty entitled and narcissistic jackelsnouts.

        Is that too much to ask?

        But getting less and less. I would not worry about them. Just a small number of guys with no real power. For every red piller talking on the internet, there are hundreds of feminists and social gender facists walking the coridors of power in government, media and academia.

        As long as the west remains rich, safe and prosperous. There will be no backlash to speak of. Feminism will continue it's march into female supremacism and men will more and more become second class citizens.

        If I were you I would be far more worried about an economic collapse, war, natuaral disaster or epidemic. Those are the things that will reset the gender relation back to the natural order.
