In the town hall last night, the defender of the constitution and bill of rights basically said:
If you talk to a pastor that we don't like, and you talk about a subject we don't like, you should be arrested.
This is before any crime is taken place.
I can't say I am shocked, but I must applaud him for his round about away of saying it.
For those a little confused, Cruz during the last town hall was asked "how do you have security without giving up liberty" and his answer was a story about the fort hood shooter, that first of all, we were spying on this citizen, and we saw him talk to a cleric (a pastor) about the morality of killing people. Cruz said that as soon as we knew that he was talking to someone the government didn't like, about a morality question, we should have arrested him.
So where is the freedom of speech? Can you imagine if we locked up any christian that asks their pastors about the morality of killing evil people?
Honestly, Cruz hit a new level of scary for me. He basically told people, who clapped, that we should have pre-crime. We should arrest people for what they say, and who they talk to.
