You gotta remember, though... The US is many, many times the size of the UK and has multiple climate regions, population densities, economic resources, etc.

Trying to pick one leader for all of that is... difficult.

I mean it kind of is... We do get a vote on the matter. Media and bullshit aside at some point we the people have to take responsibility

Every one of politicians are corrupt to the bone. No matter who we elect our president is going to represent corporations instead of the American people. We live in an oligarchy and short of a revolution it's never going to change.
