it is the Belgian flag made out of shotgun shells. my guess, is it is a show of aggressive support for the people of Belgium

eta: yellow are 20 gauge red and black are 12 gauge (caliber for shotguns) most likely birdshot by the crimp and height of the brass at the bottom.

The lower yellow shell looks smaller than the rest.

I didn't know those were shotgun shells. Thank you for the answer!

Black is usually steel shot 12ga.

Not true. Black is usually Remington low brass lead bird shot, but steel or any nontoxic is not a specific color. In fact, the Winchester Super Steel I prefer is red.

Source: I am a very avid duck hunter.

These are what I used to shoot, but it's been a few years. No ducks around anymore.

Yeah, I've seen those. I had a bad experience with some Remington shells getting wet and misfiring once, so I went over to Winchester Super Steel Drylok. This was probably 25 or so years ago, so they may have improved.

I've seen and shot 12 ga shells in red, black, blue, green...The color they will NEVER be is yellow.

Don't forget the pink federals out for breast cancer month in November!
