Why? They are paid to do a job and seem to have mostly unanimously disliked the film? Dude if you enjoy it that's fine but no need to be a dick because they didn't.

I have nothing personally against Snyder but IMHO his films are the definition of style over substance, and critics are always going to find that extremely tough going because it goes against the nature of their job to pick apart, critique and intelligently debate the pros and cons of the material.

I would recommend Slovenia. Drop dead beautiful country you can explore the whole in a week. Or Croatia/Montenegro down the Dalmatian coast.

Personally I would rather spend less on travelling somewhere to have more to spend on food, drink and activities. Those places aren't too expensive either.

I'm doing a diving holiday to get my PADI certification on an island in Thailand for 2 weeks. You should do the same, scuba diving is incredible!

I always find it odd when people ask follow up questions.

If he knew what he wanted, he would go there.

He wants to be seduced, he wants to be told what to do. He wants people to sell him an adventure, to compete with each other.

If you like museums and hate the beach force your opinion onto him. Much more fun.

Well you need a vague idea. If the question is in head more a "I want a relaxed beach holiday but don't know where" then it's stupid telling him to go skiing in Japan.

Equally if he is truly open to anything then he can reply saying "I enjoy all types of holidays and am open to things."

I could force my opinion onto him but it'd likely just be a waste of my time.

I just don't really care enough to do that. People can love what they like. If he was one of my mates or something then sure I'll tell them about all the amazing things I did when I went one place or the other, but I was just planning on giving a small bit of advice rather than an exciting story/sales pitch.

About 3 weeks. I like visiting local sites, museums, hiking, skydiving, mountain climbing. I'm honestly up for anything.

3 weeks is a decent amount of time. Considered South America? Could visit a country or maybe even 2 and maybe base it round a couple of hikes/climbs? Patagonia probably off limits as it'll be getting to winter again but there's lots of cool shit to see and do in Bolivia and Peru.

may/june is not a very good time to go to fiji. if in sth hemisphere go skiing, something nth hemisphere will be a better bet.
