I don't know all the details, but plays on words with kanji like that used to be a thing for street gangs. A common one was having "yoroshiku" ("pleased to meet you") written with "night", dew", "death" and "suffering" emblazoned on their coats. See Momiji Teruyama from Needless for an example.

Note that there's no San-nen B gumi (Class 3 B) ... that's because the Fanta commercials was lampooning San-nen B gumi Kinpachi-sensei, a TV series running from 1979 .. till 2011 .. with the title character played by the same actor spanning that time period.

I've been to Japanese schools in Japan and usually they get Saturdays off but sometimes they have schools on Saturday too, but it's usually a half day. Summer vacation is from July to September, but you are correct about how the Japanese are academically far ahead, and about the teachers playing solitaire. My 6th grade language arts teacher used to do that! XD

Oh, we "learn" it over here. It's taught in high school too, but our education system is so bad kids tend to just get passed along without really learning anything. Mostly just memorization without learning why and how things work just so they can pass tests. It's finally at college where most people even begin to get an education anymore. Quite sad it is really.
