Actually, I googled it a couple days ago and it gave me a page describing who is writing it. Apparently it's a web COMIC series, not ANIMATION. So maybe it IS coming out. News just spread about a week ago so it's ambiguous to assume right now.

I didn't search it, but I bet if you searched "Most famous Touhou song", you'd find U.N. Owen was Her.
Which is what the song this is parodying is.
Death Waltz is actually not related to U.N. Owen was Her at all, but someone did a cover of it on piano a long time ago and called it "Death Waltz". Now the Internet thinks that the Death Waltz is a completely different song.

Point being, regardless of the time period, it had a bunch of awful youtubers, just in different forms. Gotta see things beyond nostalgia. Another examples of terrible youtubers back in the day would be reply girls, "don't laugh while watching" type videos, and videos made with windows movie maker featuring comic sans and youtube anthems including "let the bodies hit the floor".

Wow. How is this so dang popular, the original UN Owen and many other YTPMV's of this song (mainly Old Spice Insanity) are way better, with the original being my favorite song ever now (actually took me a while to break away from the Old Spice one). This video, while kind of funny, is a lackluster YTPMV with shoddy pitch shifting and generally poor. It may be amusing to watch, but it's a total bore to the ears. Sure, Ronald is funny and all, but I'd rather take actual quality of music over slight humor.

I think Necrofantasia was what introduced me, but I don't quite recall. The original UN Owen convinced me to play Touhou, and oh boy was I glad I did. Also, never liked McRoll'd. Seeing how many other versions of UN Owen I watched beforehand, especially Old Spice Insanity, second only to the original song, I never much cared for this video. The best part for me is the title and description.
