                      You can see this in modern promos.

                      Steiner is blacklisted by the WWE, and most of his amazing early run was off TV, but he's the last great wrestler around. And he still wrestles! He's got tons of greats. This whole interview is really insightful, but this out of character story always makes me laugh.. It also helps you see the person behind the character.

                      And there are some gems out there. Never in the WWE as they don't allow character control.

                      It may not be a comedy promo, but this Jay Lethal imitation of Ric Flair is really impressive. Watching it with the window minimized I didn't realize Lethal was talking.

                      And no wrestling promo would be complete without witnessing the genius that is Kevin Nash when he's allowed to be himself. One time he and Booker T did commentary for a whole show, it was great. He called himself "Chet Lemon" and Booker T was "Black Snow".
