Thanks reddit

Yep! Reddit can take responsibility for this one, YET AGAIN!

What would the world do without us?

Clearly the world has the hero it deserves.

Someone fill me in?

Refer to "creeper on the shitkansen" post from yesterday. Can't figure out how to paste comments link from reddit is fun app :/

What the fuck did reddit have to do with it?

Wow that was quick. Great news.

I thought it would be hard to ping the guy with anything, what he did looked sus but I thought it would be hard to 100% say that was what he was doing. But since they seized his computer and phone I am guessing they will find more.

There can't be too many other things someone would be up to sneaking a camera between the gap in a train carriage chair round about crotch height. Maybe he just liked the cut of her shorts.

Oh yeah it's obvious but at the same time you have to prove beyond reasonable doubt. While I am confident he was being a perve I don't think I could say beyond reasonable doubt he was. Anyway hopefully they find more evidence and they probably will.

*Beyond reasonable doubt.

You posted that after i fixed it up :/

1 minute before you fixed it haha.

Oh really, I posted it went hmmmm that doesn't sound right then fixed it up. Must have been quick on the gun.

Yeah, I would say they found the footage on his phone and it's damning otherwise without any admissions you could never prove it beyond reasonable doubt.

Please tell me this is the guy from the earlier post?

Affirmative

Wait, the one with the guy that is going to court?

I don't think our justice system works that swiftly. Link to original post is in another comment

Now to visit Mitchell close, Cessnock for the day

Luckily it is a short street

No, no, no. A vigilante is just a man lost in the scramble for his own gratification. He can be destroyed, or locked up. But if you make yourself more than just a man, if you devote yourself to an ideal, and if they can't stop you, then you become something else entirely.

The Punisher?

Ra's al Ghul addressing Batman.

Ahhh. Knew it was a comic quote, just couldn't place it.

You go vigilante when the police are literally so corrupt or useless or abusive that you will never see justice.

If you're a raped woman in a village in rural India, and the "village elders" threaten you with jail if you make a complaint, that's when you band together with your village sisters and lynch the guy.

In Australia, no so much. The police do actually take most crimes seriously.

Absolutely. In a roundabout way I was commenting on the poor choice by police to practically publish his address.

[–]Jay--P 0

Its also cessnock's government housing precinct. Take your friends

[–]Fosnez 0

Mitchell close, Cessnock

That IS a short street...

Can someone fill me in on how they found him?

Easy, his Opal card. All they'd have to do is look at the tapes of the exit at the station he got off at, then match the details to the card he used.

Or, they just had people on the lookout for a fat bastard wearing a Holden shirt (or some other polo) catching the train between the central coast and the city. As soon as they see him they could nab him.

they just had people on the lookout for a fat bastard wearing a Holden shirt (or some other polo) catching the train between the central coast and the city

...but they then found 729 people matching that description in one morning.

Cessnock - Says it all really...

Wonderful, hope he's sentenced.

[–]non_existant_table 1ポイント2ポイント  (0子コメント)

The small street makes that a really specific address in the police report.

I prefer to believe face identification / photo match, either via her video, or Cardiff Station CCTV.

It could depend on the confidence they have that they have the right person? In this case, without an admission and pending examination of the hard drives, there is still a chance the guy is innocent (or at least that there isn't enough evidence for a conviction).

Just a minor thing, Central Coast & Newcastle Line, not the Hunter Line.

Good thing they caught him but the "raging feminist" comment made by her made me apply palm to face.
