I think there might be some bad fish between the manufacturer and LM.
Either kimteer stole the idea from LM and patented it all the way back in Oct 31.
Or LM just took what is available in production and make a crowdfunding. But you do have to wonder why there aren't any prototype photo on LM's part... -

It's kickstarter and this happens.A jeans / leather cable can be found on Ebay already... not just one vendor.. a couple. Good luck. -

@creator, please explain what's going on?
I'm so disappointed :-( -
Joshua park about 6 hours ago
Didn't expect a shutdown but nevertheless, congratulations to whoever really has the original patents.Kimteer does seem to have the cables manufactured. It also seems lmcable has found a manufacturer to make it with little down payment. In either case, the product WILL eventually find its way to the shelves for all of us to buy and whoever was telling the truth will profit beyond what would have been raised by this campaign from all the controversy(aka free advertising).Kickstarter is a platform for you to raise funding for production. If you have the production ready already, then kickstarter just becomes a platform for advertising which defeats the original purpose. Maybe this was the ground on kickstarter's decision to suspend this project. -
Konstantin about 7 hours ago
when having thoughts of the suspension the most plausible cause could be somekind of trademark rights by apple. Because either of the usage of the word "lightning" or the fact that it'll be combined with microusb which would be totally against Apples philosophy of being different and therefore, binding all "official" parts to Apples own profit (Also Apples MFI-Cert is really expensive)...
Or - similarities to esbeecables while esbeecables were simply faster in registering trademark laws... -
Henry Stoppel about 7 hours ago
Do you think they are going to introduce the product at another platform or will it be directly on retail? -
Taher Taibali about 7 hours ago
Was kind of expecting this! I wonder if the creator will post more details regarding the suspension. -

Michael Nieves about 8 hours ago
So now what? I know I keep my money, but I was really looking forward to this product. Anywhere I can still get one? -
Adriano about 8 hours ago
I think the reason of suspension was that the cable is kinda already produced and Kickstarter does not allow reselling products here so they suspended it. -
-
-
Joe Wallner about 8 hours ago
Just because I was curious since I've never backed a suspended project before. Per Kickstarter's Help Center: Is a suspension reversible?"No. Once a project has been suspended it cannot be undone." -

Let the Kickstarter team do their part and protect us backers from any kind of problems, especially patent issues.
The cable will find its way to the market. -

@LMcable Can you let us know why we have these produced cables if we are not the real factory ? And why you have not show any proof to show you are the real factory or you are the only wholesale authoried by your manufacturer ? I think there is just one explanation:
1.We are the real factory not you .You just bought 200pcs cable from our factory and you copy it ,then you sell them in Kickstarter. -

@lmcable I see you have come out of the shadows; I now see some light in the legitimacy of this project. Sorry I'm based in US and have no affiliation with kimteer whatsoever(I don't even read their comments anymore because it's hard to decipher or is old content). I created a new account because I am affiliated with another KS campaign going on right now and do not want that account being associated with this debate as this is a totally independent and personal matter. And if you didn't know already, I have to make a pledge to post comments. As I have said, if you guys did everything you should have done, you'll be successful and I congratulate you on your pending success. Now that you are starting to engage your users on this matter, let me ask you this and I'm sure many of us here are interested in answers to these questions.
1. Did you work with and had trouble with your original choice of manufacturer(kimteer) regarding manufacturing of lmcable?
2. If so, are you working with another manufacturer now?
3. If not, how did kimteer take videos (with proof it was shot post-KS argument) of the manufacturing of the cable? If you don't know how, what would be your best guess?I don't see ANY reason for you to avoid answering these questions as these answers will clarify questions YOUR backers have. If you think it's not worth answering, at least answer why you don't want to answer. Stop with the general answers and let's get to the specifics.Oh and regarding your post to Damien, because he has related experience, he(and I) can see how your video was generic. You can just request prodction videos to the manufacturer. You have added a statement data transfer works but no attempts to show it. If you added a very very simple physical note in the video like "@kimteer and our supporters" and show that WITH the mass produced parts, I will and everyone else will have ZERO doubts. Post a video like that and all controversy goes away. If you can't, I'm looking forward to see the answers to my questions above. -

For all the dumb people who are too lazy to read the comments, it is not MFi. The creator has stated it may not be so in the end project. As an owner of an iPhone, you should not be updating to the latest iOS in the first place until you have determined that the newest iOS has features you want.I am on iOS 8.1.2 and have not seen a single update that will better your phone. New emojis is literally the only reason to have updated.Stay behind and you will never have to worry about the MFi. -

@Ecogrl In the very beginning, we had the plan to use leather which shows durability and luxury. However, as we were getting closer and closer to the leather production, we hesitated and started to reconsider it. By using leather in the mass production, we might indirectly do harm to the animals. What if there is a kind of leatherette that could meet our requirements just like the leather? Therefore, we spent over 2 weeks and compared five kinds of leatherette from different plant; finally, we got in touch with a kind of leatherette with good durability and softness. When it was used in the sample product, it surprised us with better outcome. Therefore, please do not worry the durability and the cable getting sticky. -
Creator LMcable 3 days ago
@Damien Cooper If you have related experience, I assumed that you could find that every component showed in the video belongs to LMcable. As an answer to the queries and an update, we shot the video right in the plant. Yes, we’ve received query for cable with longer length in the beginning and we take every suggestion seriously. From then on, we evaluated the feasibility for 2m Lmcable through technical perspective as well as marketing perspective. We’ve investigated the need for a longer cable and already drew the conclusion. We planned to release this news a bit later, but as a reply to your query, I’d like to give you a hint that we are going to present a modified LMcable with 2m length. Thank you again for your query and support. -

@All Laws were established to protect the legal rights of everyone. Even though we’ve received some unsubstantiated claims and slanders, we will not be so discouraged that give up making and presenting a high quality LMcable to all those who support us till the end. We have always been working hard to test, modify and finally produce a exquisite and unique LMcable and trying our best to have it ready as soon as possible for those who like this idea and back us. We still believe that the slander will destroy itself in the end and presenting final product speaks louder than words. We highly appreciate the fairness shown by Kickstarter in answering any query like this and we believe that Kickstarter will give their verdict on 2-in-1 connector. Let’s work hand in hand and look forward to receiving the final product of this fantastic idea. -

I am also question if this is a valid project. The "production" video is very generic and something that should be a very simple change like a longer cable still hasn't been offered even after it was implied at the start of the campaign. I hope it happens but I'm not holding my breath -
Taher Taibali 4 days ago
As an early backer of LMcable I am now having concerns about this project! Not much details are being provided by the creator. With all the excess money collected there are no stretch goals. I never expected the cable to get MFI certification. I also never expected the sync to work once a new iOS update came out. Primary reason for me to back this project was primarily for the dual charging option. Still 11 days to go for me to make up my mind....my 2 cents !! -

@Joshua
Kimteer, starterkick and whatever other fake accounts the guy is using, *don't* have a patent.
Their documents are low quality fakes; and if they were real would only be enforceable in China in any case.Look on the guys website, he doesn't have a clue!
Incredibly poor English, no concept of how to explain electronics or manufacturing, and doesn't provide any scrap of information about this supposed dodgy deal that LMCable are accused of pulling.
This kind of sale means he should have receipts and contact information flying out of his yazoo; instead..... Nothing but silly insults, doubts, shadows, smoke and mirrors, and ifs buts and maybes.
I've had the misfortune of conversing with the guy in private messaging, and it is a circular conversation whereby I ask for evidence, he tells me it is all on his Facebook page, I tell him his documents are poorly photoshopped, he tells me I am "the water army", I explain I am quite obviously not a fake profile, he tells me he wants what is best for us backers, I ask him for evidence...... Round and round it goes. -

Joshua park 4 days ago
Here are some things he could say if he is scamming. He will say he found another manufacturer to take over already. He will say data transfer was not possible when techcrunch covered him but research made this possible. He will make a video of the connection working(its easy to fake this. just get 2 phones and connect a good one from outside the camera and connect the bad one inside the camera at the same time or many other methods to fake the video). He could maybe even create a fake linkedin profile for Mike Underwood. Many ways for con-artists to "look" real and people are dumb to say oooh ok~~~.All these statements could be true but they could also be lies. Just saying there's the risk of him being a scammer even if he says the right things, and con-artists always say the seemingly right things. I am not saying he is a scammer, I'm saying there is a RISK. I truly hope this guy is legit myself since not everyone is reading the comments and can't see the risk that I see.I do NOT want our backers to have a possible bad(and rare) experience and go tell people how KS is a huge scam when KS is a wonderful platform. -
Joshua park 4 days ago
Another thing, why does he want people to wait for a video when he could just clarify with a yes or no in the comment first? The way this guy handles issues, I wouldn't trust my money with. -
Joshua park 4 days ago
@Billy/Danny Tesla thing is a speculation, not an evidence. In fact, there is no evidence for anything. Only fact here is that lmcable and kimteer/starterkick worked together and they have a conflict of interest. With that said, even if lmcable was telling the truth, kimteer isn't going to provide the goods to him. Lmcable will have to find a new manufacturer and that's almost a fact at this point. Now think of the WORST case scenario and Lmcable DID buy things off kimteer. He won't be able to ship ANYTHING. What stops him from not giving you refunds? This guy has no conscience at all as he took intellectual property off a manufacturer(remember this is JUST a what if scenario). He's based in Austrailia, not US. Kickstarter is an American company and the US law enforcement might go after him for not giving out refunds but this is only if he was in US.So in both cases whether or not lmcable is legit, things aren't looking bright for the backers in my opinion and this could potentially turn into a disaster. On a side note, electronics industry is VERY quick to adapt and with a concept like this, IF lmcable do have the patent in place, manufacturers WILL pay them loyalty beyond what is earned from this campaign(I know, because I have a couple not so popular patents). So even if you back out, you still are supporting lmcable by buying them when the product comes out on the market as that profit goes to lmcable. In either case, things aren't bright for the backers. In either case things ARE bright for lmcable since either they have a patent to get royalties from or will be running away with all your funds haha. Risk is yours to take.Btw, there still are questions unanswered regarding the credibility of the reviewers on the website, data transfer capabilities and the reason for saying 20% of funds will be going into the molds when the molds seem to already be in place. -

@Joshua I was a backer of the Tesla lighter. I indeed wanted to see it happen. As I am not a physicist nor an electrician, I would not know if this was "too good to be true", and was hopeful that there would be a crazy stroke of luck that there was in fact un documented technology that would enable this to happen. The creator refused to show the proof required for KS to verify it was real.We can only assume it was a big scam.Who is to say that LMcable was not in the same boat as me? Someone who wanted a "magic lighter".It triggers a feeling of hope that the world is more amazing than it really is. And that is why people buy into the idea. -
starterkick 6 days ago
Thank all your attention. And pls think ,if the LMcable is not a scam ,why he do not want show anything to prove he is the real designer or the only wholesaler Authorized by the factory ? Becuase he does not have all of these information at all .He just bought 200pcs from our factory by saying as a potential wholesales .He even can not send the cable to all of your backers. If you do not want to waste your money, you'd better ask for refund from kickstarter . -

@Joshua, what evidence do you have linking any of the LMCable staff to the Tesla lighter scam? The Tesla lighter was run by Mark Pauling (a fake name/imaginary person) and Chander Patil (unknown if real name)... -
Ecogrl 6 days ago
@Joshua: I read the TechCrunch article. It did not say anything about testing the cable themselves, just that the KS page says it is unable to do data transfer, only charge. I double checked the campaign page, and was unable to find a reference to not being able to do data transfer. Now, without MFI certification, if LMCable can currently do data transfer, that may not last, but I don't see @creator stating that syncing is not possible. That said, a lack of a LinkedIn account is interesting, but I have seen campaigns where the team had very little social media presence, but we're not scams, so I am still wait and see on this.@LMcable: a video showing the data transfer WOULD be nice. @Joshua has brought up some valid questions. -
Simon Yost 6 days ago
@lmcable. Does this cable work for data transfer as well as charge. Is it possible for you guys to post a video showing the transfer of data. Cheers. -
Joshua park 6 days ago
Wow sorry. I thought there wasn't anymore to point out. I went to their website and saw "reviews" by Mike Underwood - marketing director and Jenny Gonzalez - Journalist. I googled and linkedin both their names and found squat. Jenny is understandable but a marketing director NOT having a polished linkedin profile??? HUGE red flag here that things aren't totally legit.Another note to add after checking the media coverage(they were legit) is these cables do NOT support data transfer to a computer(google techcrunch lmcable and read the article). I saw the campaign again after reading this article and saw lmcable wording this as "charging cable" but saw it also says "Charge & Sync: support both fast data transfer and 2.4A fast charging". They don't warn ANYONE that this is JUST for charging. I trust techcrunch because they scrutinize as much as possible and question the creators before giving coverage.I started to see this controversy from a neutral point of view and now many clues point to lmcable being shady. If lmcable changes or removes any content such as the reviews on their website, that action will reinforce my hypothesis. -
Joshua park 6 days ago
Doing some further digging....creator of lmcable is Shuyuan Deng. Not being racist, I'm Asian as well. One of the first projects he backed turns out to be a serious scam - tesla lighter. Second project he backed doesn't seem to be communicating with the backers AFTER the campaign ended, they were very active BEFORE it ended - typical conartist procedures.Anyhow, I'm just spending my precious time doing this because I love all the backers here supporting these otherwise impossible projects and want this support to continue. I don't want to see everyone leaving kickstarter and spreading bad words about kickstarter because a scammer got them. So yeah just my 3 cents.... -
Joshua park 6 days ago
I was excited at the idea and wanted to read what's been going on so I came to read the comments. After reading and analyzing both sides of the case, I saw this project could potentially become the scam of the year at kickstarter; if what the manufacturer is saying is true. One thing I caught fishy with lmcable is he said he needs 20% for tooling. The tooling seems to already be finished and production being carried out already(I am an engineer in US with extensive collaboration with manufacturers in China). Another thing is, he said he will use 20% for tooling but his goal was JUST $3582. If I was fully vested in this project, I would do all my calculations and really set a realistic goal because manfacturing can cost beyond anyone's imaginations if the tooling is custom for the specific product. If there was no controversy, I would assume lmcable to be extremely confident and set just $3582. Because there is controversy, I thought to myself....what if he really ordered 200 and wanted to sell it at $15ish a pop. That's about $3000 - something quite in line with his target....coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not.I also saw what if lmcable is legit and manufacturer is not. It seems manufacturer has everything setup. But would they manufacture the product for lmcable; I doubt it after all this. What's the end result of that? lmcable has to find another manufacturer and repeat the development and tooling process all over. That takes months. Meanwhile, I would assume the chinese guys will be producing tens of thousands per day(maybe even hundred thousands if they're fully vested). And what prevents this next manufacturer from stabbing lmcable in the back? This product is VERY attractive and they could care less about the work lmcable did. In the end, I see this cable being ubiquitous in the near future. Also what guarantees are there from lmcable from giving out refunds if things don't work out?I know of many horror stories with Chinese manufacturers. One fried of mine outsourced a clothing design ONCE and she saw the SAME thing being sold at 1/4 the price few days later. Choosing who trust is extremely important(one strategy is to divide the product to multiple segments and have different manufacturers make each component). All in all, whether the claim is true or not....there's alot of risk of not receiving the product. Worst case is if lmcable runs away with the $$. Being based in AU not US make it even easier as I'm sure most sales came from US and FBI isn't(can't) go for this guy. If lmcable is legit and they certainly did their job correct with the patents, they don't need backers. They will succeed with this idea - big time, just on the patent royalties. If they did not do their job correctly, then its just a lifelong lesson learned. -

Big Secret of LMcable
@All backers Hope all your attention pls. There is a story of the LMcable IOS & Android Common Connector .
One person bought about 200pcs IOS&Android cable form a factory with patent in China on 18,January,2016. Then he let his team started one Project of the cable in kickstarter.com on February 20, 2016.But unfortunately, these 200pcs they got from the factory is their the first generation. There are some flaws of the first generation cables :
1. When you use it to charge your Iphone ,then message “This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this Iphone ” will showed in your telephone. It indicates that the cable can not charge your Iphone at all.
2. When you use it to charge your Android phone, it can not be pluged in the phone fully. So your phone can not be charged. And It will automatically fall down once you pick up your phone.
This is also the reason why the factory have not started project in kickstarter.com . Now the second generation of IOS&Android have been produced by the factory. These flaws have been overcome .And they will be push into hot selling in short time.
In fact, The person is the creator of LMcable .Then even have not enough cables to send to all the backers. So as real backers, if you do not want to lost your money ,pls wake up.
The video of the disadvantages of the first generation cables is showed by facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/925735580875011/videos/931199230328646/ -

@Kimteer @Starterkick @Josua park Hi, friends from China. As we’ve mentioned in our previous announcement, we are grateful for any kind of suggestions and advices, but we will not tolerate any calumny. Both individuals and teams could report to kickstarter or even take legal actions to protect their own rights and benefits if they have taken it so much for granted that we had made an infringement on their interests. We respect Kickstarter as a public platform that help anyone with creative thinking and a friendly community that respect great ideas. We truly believe that the Kickstarter team will resolve this problem properly, fairly and impartially. -

@lmcable: so the cable wrap is leatherette instead of leather as the description suggests? How durable is the leatherette? I don't want it to turn sticky too quick, or at all. -

I am also question if this is a valid project. The "production" video is very generic and something that should be a very simple change like a longer cable still hasn't been offered even after it was implied at the start of the campaign. I hope it happens but I'm not holding my breath -

@Danny All backers Can we know why you believe in LMcable ? He has no any evidence to prove he is the real factory or the only wholesale of the IOS&Andorid cable when backers ask him to do that.He just said that he will take a video few days ago.But where is the video ? Did you see or any backers see the video ? No . But for us,we have patent and have so many video of our fatory with cables ,materials. Maybe everyone want to know why you trust in a liar but not a real factory with patent . -

@Joshua

@Jonathan Ng The LMcable even can not send the cable to your home when he got the money.Because he does not have products in his hand.He just bought 200pcs fake cable with flaws from our factory. So you can ask for refund if you do not want to waste your money.

@starterkick. It is not up to us to demand for the proof of ownership. Patent filing and examination is not as straight forward as you think. With my very limited knowledge on the patenting system, I think it is not wise for the inventor to disclose the full invention in black and white at this insecure platform, especially if the patent application is not yet published. I believed that LMCable is in the mid of sorting this issue. -

@Dannyy: I would preface that to say that MOST campaigns offer early bird pledges. There are campaigns that don't.The main purpose of the early bird - beyond giving a really good deal to the first backers - is to get a surge in pledges that ups the campaign in popularity so more backers notice it and the cycle continues. The trick is getting that initial surge of backers. -
Dannyy Holloway on March 13
@Pouria, to condense my previous comment... :)
These Early Bird Backers did pledge a LOT more than later backers are/will; as there was a fairly good chance at that time that the cable was never going to happen; as they were the only backers. -
Dannyy Holloway on March 13
@Pouria; Crowdfunding isn't the same as walking into a supermarket.
All campaigns greatly reduce their prices for their earliest backers, as these initial backers are laying out their money with the greatest risk; as the first week of a campaign is pretty much make or break.
If campaign makers didn't do this, then crowdfunding itself most likely would not exist as it does today; if at all. -
Po3ion on March 13
@dannyy alright I understand that, but I Think if you pledge more you should get something extra that just makes more sense, but I don't mind that we get the same but we are just paying more. -

Cable can be a game changer...... Until Apple decides to pull the plug on a non-MFI cable with an update to make this thing useless (this has happened to some "cool" combo cables that I've had in the past). Will stick it out to the end but unless Apple puts its stamp of approval on it (and they are the bullies in the playground aren't they) I'll be pulling out. -

Esther on March 11
@kimteer. I am giving you a benefit of doubt that you may have filed a design patent and pct application. Please note that everyone can file a patent as long as you pay the filing fee. But patent filing is not equivalent to a granted patent. You have shown the cover page of a design patent that filed in china in dec 2015, and a PCT application that filed in dec 2015. But I believed that the design patent is not granted yet in china. Even if it is granted, you can only gain the monopoly to manufacture and sell the cable in china. Nowhere else. As for the PCT application, it is not even published. PCT application does not gives much meaning if it does not enter national phase, and granted at national level. Stop behaving like an idiot and thinking that we are equivalently shallow as you are. @LMcable, please seek legal advice from patent office or patent firm. -

@all,Thank you so much for your generous support and trust towards LMcable. Never have we ever thought that LMcable could be this popular. Without your help, we could never get this far. It really encourages us a lot. However, neither have we ever expected that we may encounter this kind of trouble. Kimteer from China copied our product design entirely without even a notice. Not only does he keep promoting his counterfeit item but also harassing our supporters as well as LMcable team. We are very angry towards his ungrateful behaviour. Here, we’d like to apologize for not making this announcement at the very beginning. We are sorry to get our backers involved in our patent issues and keep receiving unpleasant treatment .
In order to make LMcable better and then ship it out on time, we spend most of our time on product development and pay more attention to production instead of involving ourselves in useless arguments. We are grateful for any kind suggestion and advice which may help us improve our product, but we will not tolerate those malicious slanders. We have already entrusted our lawyer to deal with the patent issue. Our latest status on patent issues and production will be closely updated to all of our backers.
We believe that the lie will destroy itself and rumors will be ended by wise men. Thank you again for your continued support and trust. -

@all the backers These proofs( patent ,PCT ,products and materials of IOS & Android Common Connector) are showed in our facebook https://www.facebook.com/OSAKI-TECH-LLC-925735580875011/ . Then you can know who are the real factory and the have the unique right to produce andsell IOS & Android Common Connector .Pls do not be cheated by seller selling fake products. -
Wendi Neill on March 10
Good point on the VAT Dannyy - appreciate a confirmed response on shipping being marked as a gift so no VAT applied to EU countries (unless total value is over £34, which most backers won't be) -
Billy K on March 10
@kimteer, your broken English and shotty proof are just pitiful. Do you have nothing better to do than run a smear campaign here? Not sure if a Chinese patent holds up here in the US even if you have it.Your fight is with kickstarter, and your badgering of backers will only create opinions of distrust towards you.In total, you currently sound like some guy in India who has been paid $2 an hour to write terribly written remarks on a well constructed kickstarter page. That $2 you need to live also has given your employers whatever false "proof" you could create in 15-20 minutes.I feel sorry for you @kimteer -
kimteer on March 10
@Simon We do not need to prove anything to you.Because we just show the truth that we are the real factory to all backers apart from online “water army ” team. -
Zak on March 10
Hey LMCable I backed your project because its an awesome idea, but do you actually have patents for this idea? If so why be shy to show us, this Kimteer dude has big balls to come here and say you stole his idea. Did you do your research, if so back it up. -
kimteer on March 10
@ all the backers We are here.Because we do not want to attack anyone. We just want to protect all backers from fake IOS & Android Common Connector. We are the real factory with patent of it.We have duty to let every real supporter of our product use Genuine products not fake.Thanks. -
-
kimteer on March 10
@Dannyy All of our materials have been showed in facebook. You can know the truth. We are the real factory. We have patent and real bulk products. It is not necessary to take any video to prove ourself again. -
kimteer on March 10
@Simon Yes,you are careful. Why we upload our patent and products in facebook ? Because we found the project existing few days ago.So we uploaded our patent certification and products to protect all backers from being cheated. Then about these patent ,its applying time is October ,2015.So no matter when we upload it ,we are the real factory ,it is the truth. -
-
kimteer on March 10
@littlecowcow You gave a good question. For us as a factory,We surely can supply the connector the same size as apple's lighnting connector .But if the product is from LMcable, because he have not patent and right to produce the product ,so his product is fake.So all of us can not ensure it will be available or not.Thanks. -
Dannyy Holloway on March 10
Kimteer you have had your opportunity to prove yourself.
Make a video showing these hundreds of cables you have, or shut up and go away! -
kimteer on March 10
@Simon Thank for your atention. Can I know do you believe in LMcable ? If yes,why you do not believe us( Who have patent and have produced the products in bulk) but believe in LMcable who do not have anything to prove his product ? The patent ,PCT ,products and materials are showed in our facebook https://www.facebook.com/OSAKI-TECH-LLC-925735580875011/ . -
Dannyy Holloway on March 10
Technically we are not purchasing these cables, am I correct? VAT only applies to purchases, not to gifts; so all the guys need to do is mark the cables as gifts (which they technically/legally are) and voila! No VAT issues! -
Wendi Neill on March 9
Hiya, could you guys please clarify the VAT issue for the UK? I have pledged for three cables and the freebie, plus the shipping, totalling 47AUD. I know how much 47AUD is in GBP and have budgeted for this, but reading the comments is concerning me as I was expecting that to be the cost to me in full, cheers -
Nick.P.O on March 9
@carrie,You are right.300000pieces are really a great fortune. That's why he is struggling here. -
Dannyy Holloway on March 9
@kimteer
If you have 200 of these cables sitting in a warehouse, post a video of you with these cables; holding a sign with your username and my username, and post it on YouTube; otherwise you are admitting that you are a scammer...Indiegogo are complicit in this fraud, which is kind of sick -
Dannyy Holloway on March 9
Can KickStarter themselves not get involved in getting Indiegogo to actually check what fraudulent content they are promoting?! -
Simon Yost on March 9
@kimteer. Your first profile picture was also uploaded on the 7th March. This indicates your Facebook page was created just to post this disinformation on kickstarter. -
littlecowcow on March 9
Is the lightning-side connector the same size as apple's lighnting connector? I hope my phone case do work with LMcable, otherwise i won't be able to plug it in. -
Simon Yost on March 9
@kimteer. I don't believe your story for one second. You just come across as a scammer. -
kimteer on March 9
@allan Thank for your attention. Now,we have adjusted our selling policy. We do not sell it in Ebay .Because we want to avoid someone copying .All of our products will send to our products free in this period. -
kimteer on March 9
Normally , you(LMcable) have to apply for the patent before you start a project for the products. And he need to ensure that you have the unique right to promote your idea and produce it bulk. Because you declared it is the world’s firstly IOS & Android Common Connector
.Do you have any patent ? If yes, just show it to all of backers. If not ,you are a fraud. And you have stolen our idea and want to copy our products. Because ,we have got its Chinese patent in October,2015 and already applied for PCT on 28,December,2015. The patent ,PCT ,product pictures and materials are all showed in facebook https://www.facebook.com/OSAKI-TECH-LLC-925735580875011/
Also 300,000pcs products have been produced in our factory and 200pcs have been sent to our USA warehouse. -

Hi Dannyh89,Thank you for checking in about this campaign. At this time, the campaign, ‘LMcable - The first IOS & Android Common Connector’, is under review to ensure that it adheres to our Terms of Use (http://www.indiegogo.com/about/terms).Kimteer you are a fraud.
Your page is in broken Chinglish, your patent is gibberish, and your eBay "store" has sold one item, that was clearly a fake listing you've sold to a friend. If you've sold one of these cables, then you have them already produced and ready to ship; so why not sell me one now and ship it out immediately...? -
Carrie on March 8
@Creator I suppose he is the guy who copy your whole kickstarter campaign page and then launch it on indiegogo in the name of LMcable. But the intrigue exposed and he failed to make a good fortune. And here he is. LOL -
kimteer on March 8
we had provide the patent certification to kickstarter ,hope kickstarter to verify the truth of the product. -
Billy K on March 8
A little concerned that the image in kimteer's ebay listing shows different angles than those of the kickstarter project. So he isn't just copying your images and re-listing them...I think this deserves a message to kickstarter to verify the true creator of the product. -

Izzie London on March 4
I'm from the uk, and I was just wondering if the same applies regarding the free cable for us too. Do we really have to pay almost double for the VAT?? Seems a bit of a con and a huge shame.
As soon as I saw this cable I fell in love with it. I love both apple and android products, they have unique qualities that I can't get enough of, but it means I'm always hunting for the right charger for my device.
The MFi certificate as well doesn't seem well thought through either, I'm hugely disappointed.
I can't afford for a huge bill to be stuck on the product after delivery to me, so what your plan is to tackle these issues before you end on KS and is it worth me trying to share your brilliant idea for it to backfire on me... -
-
Bryce Tsai on March 4
Hi I wish to get 7 cables, so I pledge for 45*2+21*1+4=115, Just wondering if I can do that, thank you very much for the confirmation. -
Creator LMcable on March 4
@AS, Thanks for reminding us of VAT.We will consult with an experienced one firstly and then try to find out a solution. As for MFi, you can see from our previous comments that we do not hold back any information about it. We've applied for it, but it really takes time to process. And we have no idea whether we can get it or not because LMcable is not a standard Lightning connector. We are still waiting for the reply. If there is any news related to it, we will tell our backers about it at once.EVen if we haven't received it, we will also post an update before our campaign ends about the final result. We will work for it. Let's make it step by step, OK? And we have to admit that we are poorly thought out in some aspects. But thank you so much for your kind advices and suggestions. Hope that you can give us a chance to make improvements. Thank you! -
Ecogrl on March 3
No MFI? I'm not getting burned like Pugz again, if no MFI or assurance that MFI is being sought and/or likely, I am out. My sole reason for getting these cables is the Lightning/USB combo in one plug. -
AS on March 3
@LmcableIt's not so much an inconvenience but a reason for European backers not to participate in your action of 2 for 1, because it may actually end up costing them €15,- extra for VAT and processing costs (especially those processing costs are expensive in Europe, the actual VAT is €1-2).
So it may be handy to give a warning for your European backers who are now expecting 2 cables for the price of one and in the end having to pay almost the same amount for the second cable by cause of VAT and processing costs (I don't know if this is also the case for other non-european countries, but I guess it may quite well be the case for some of them as well)And you didn't answer the question about when you think MFi certification will be given (please don't ignore that question because you don't want to give the answer), you should at least say somewhere in your campaign page that you at the moment don't have MFi certification and that the product may in the end be unable to charge iPhones!!! -
Creator LMcable on March 3
@AS, I am sorry for the inconvenience. But I am afraid that we may need to ship it in one package. -
AS on March 3
@LMcableDo you think it will be certified before end of campaign, because it's kinda a big deal and given the fact there's already a product on ks (PUGZ) where the MFi got denied... -
-
-
AS on March 3
So the free cable (with the social media action) would actually cost Europeans more money than the cost of a single cable. -
AS on March 3
Do you guys send the cables seperately or in 1 package? Because I live in Europe and when they're in the same package the price of the package goes above €22,- which means I have to pay VAT and processing costs which is about €20,- total, so sending each cable seperately is saving European backers a lot of money. -
-

Dong Nguyen on March 2
love this cable!! will be good if we have type-c option!! android phone is changing to usb type-c connector! -
Alex Hardiman on March 2
@Enrique Vargas - your pledge is for the cable at $21 which represents a 25% or 33% saving on the RRP when this product hits stores. Remember, you are able to receive the product as a reward at a discounted price for providing the funding to allow the project to get off the ground. The earlier you back, the greater the discount. A survey is sent out to all backers when it's close to shipping time to allow backers to choose colours/sizes/numbers (whatever the project may be) and to confirm their shipping address. Fear not, just sit back and enjoy the ride from here on in - await regular updates on the project and get involved in the comments section (which can be jolly or painful, depending on what type of crowd the backers are!) -
Andrew Vu on March 2

I'm having trouble understanding the reward for sharing on social media. Is the overall reward just one extra LMcable added apart from what is pledged? Or is the reward doubling the LMcables we have currently pledged. i.e. - (We are pledged for the full color 3pc set and may receive 6 if shared on social media?) I've seen comments on both and was wondering which is correct... -

enrique vargas on March 2
Crazy question. I "pledged" of 21$ which was 25$ 4$ for shipping and if I'm not wrong I thought with the pledge it gets you 1 of your amazing cords then 33% off the next one. My question is how does the cord get sent to your backers if no address is exchanged. Anyway I love your product and can't wait till its in stores. It's going to be a great Christmas gift. -

Daniel Tran on March 2
By sharing to social media, how much will the extra cable cost?
Also, I hope its MFI certified before you ship the products out, seems like it allows for compatibility for future device models. -
Jens Nassall on March 1
Well if it's not MFI certified then it could happen that with the next iOS update the cable will not work with iPhones or iPads anymore...
I would voluntarily wait for the MFI certification... And: 1.2m really would be great (2m as an option). 1m is really really short... -

ODON LOPEZ on February 26
Question: Estimated delivery date for Super Early Bird is March 2016 but project will not fund until March 30th. So that that would leave one day in March for delivery and surveys and all else. Is it safe to assume that all those estimated deliveries would be push back at least a month? -

@TertzCH,Thanks for your comment. We will post an update about the MFi certification before our compaign ends no matter whether we get MFi or not. -
Creator LMcable on February 23
@RL,Thanks for telling me that. Please do not pledge it on Indiegogo. We do not post it on indiegogo. It is fake!!! We have already reported it to Indiegogo and waiting for its reply. -
David Di Troia on February 22
Those asking for MFi certification are being a bit unrealistic it can take a long time to obtain if ever and Apple are very strict. Maybe something for LM Cable 2.0 -
TertzCH on February 22
I love the idea of combining Micro USB and Lightning, thats why I pledged, however if it is not MFI certified in the end I have to unfortunately retract my pledge before it ends (I will wait as long as possible) as I have been caught out on non MFI cables before and I decided to never buy a non MFI certified cable again....lets hope you guys get it certified... -
Creator LMcable on February 22
@Ismail Karim Those who really put their hearts into it , none of the product is ordinary . It is just like our own child. It takes time to modify,to improve... So LMcable is not just a cable for us, it does carry our dreams. -

@Mohd Hafiz Conan Currently, as per our plan the manufacturer is in China, but we are also negotiating with some manufacturer in Malaysia and India. We are evaluating and will choose the best among them in the hope for better quality. -

Can you post more photos on the various color options and the wrapped with leather that comes with each color? Thanks! -
Creator LMcable on February 21
@David Di Troia We will update with detail photos including that of both sides of the plug. As per our previous test on the cable, it can match well with devices with lightning and micro usb and will not damage the charging port. -
Creator LMcable on February 21
@Poldie Tong Yes, those who send us email with screenshot will receive a confirmation email. Please check your email. We've already revert back to you. Thanks for your support. -
David Di Troia on February 21

Ferdinand Utermöhlen on February 20
Is it correct that I can add 13 $ to my existing early bird pledge to get another cable or is the price for a second item different?
I tried to send you my screenshot of my twitter share but a '501 bad address' message returned ( two times though c&p)
Thanks

@hoe lightning connector is limited in 1 side and this other side is for micro-USB. Therefore, for one LMcable, you can use it with iPhone as well as with other smart phone with micro USB port. -

@Mohd saudi Thank you for your good advice on it. Our team will try on this. Hope we could have a 2m version in the future. -
-
Mohd saufi on February 20
Most cable 1m is to short and not friendly use. Many manufacturer now selling 2m.
Please take advantage of 2m cable with extra pledge option. -
Creator LMcable on February 20
@Mohd saufi The warranty period is one year. Right now, since we just started this project, we only have the plan to make the 1m version without led indicator. However, we will take these into consideration in the future when we work on the upgrade. -

@Don Chen Please see the below Comments from Jackie. Remember to share our project, and you can double the cables that you'll receive! -
Jackie on February 20
Yes! you can multiply the pledges! But for the shipment fee, you only need to pay one time. Ex: 13x3+4=43AUD (3 cables in total).
Tips: if you share our project (ex. to Facebook, twitter or instagram), screen capture the shared info. and send it to hello@lmcable.com with your kickstarter user name, you can get one free for each pledges!! Ex: with 13x3+4=43 AUD, you can get 3x2=6 cables! -
Don Chen on February 20
@Creator, can we multiply our pledges to get additional cables? Ex. 17x3=51
