They've only temporarily closed some internal borders out of absolutely necessity. Countries like Sweden are so inundated they have been putting the migrants in tents. Germany has taken in over 1 million and the external borders of Europe are still not being enforced. Migrants continue to be brought into Europe from their boats instead of being towed away.

Europe particularly has been systematically de-nationalised. The European union is a project designed to destroy nation states and centralise power. The leaders actively want the public to lose any national identity so they'll submit to much wider european one which will eventually be superseded by an even larger identity.

The EU is trying to get Turkey into the union atm which shows you the long-term agenda isn't even about Europe. It's about perpetually centralising more power.

They're winning because western leaders are more concerned with their open borders ideology than the lives of their own citizens. That's why Trump is getting so much support. The public are sick of being treated like shit by their elected "representatives".

Still, this subreddit despite its peculiarities is better news source than /r/europe where the best they can came up with is waffle middle finger

It's just pathetic. It's like when people said Je Suis Charlie but they're unwilling to do anything to actually deal with the cause of these problems, they still call you racist if don't want to welcome hundreds of thousands of migrants. It's just totally hollow gestures that mean nothing.

Whenever I come to this sub and see hundreds more users than normal I check the news to see how many people have died.

Making muslims feel welcome to the left basically just means committing suicide. That's the only way they'll be comfortable enough not to blow anyone up.

Unfortunately sometimes things have to hit very close to home in a horrific way to change peoples perspective but I respect the fact you have changed your mind. Many will cling on to their views whatever happens because their ego refuses to let them admit they were wrong.

Those responses aren't saying "it's likely to be safe", they're ridiculing the idea that it would be anything but perfectly safe. "You are more likely to be shot by a toddler in the US", "Are you serious?".

They're acting like even asking the question whether Belgium is safe is laughable.

Always do the opposite of what reddit says.

Reddit, in a lot of areas, is just parroting the establishment line fed to them via the media so of course they're often wrong. The establishment line is more often than not intentionally deceptive propaganda.

They're saying "don't worry, it's safe". It's clearly not.
