In /r/sanfrancisco, where I post exclusively, we have a problem with downvote abuse.
If you look through my comment history, you will see that I received approx -20 on a post where I suggested that minorities may have a reason to distrust cops, and -50 for suggesting that road rage between bikes and drivers may be a two way street. Along with the every day -1 and -2s, that means it's impossible to keep a positive karma if you don't agree with the group think there.
The mods are using the automoderator to disallow negative karma users and are not manually approving my posts anymore. When I messaged them, they told me to fuck off, despite publicly saying they are anti-censorship and against downvote abuse.
