As someone who's never been in the away end of a United game. I can imagine it's fairly different because it's only really the hardest of fans that go. No tourists that's for sure.

Well you have to be a season ticket holder for 3 years to even apply I think so yeah your right, its only long term fans

Wait really? So if I was visiting London for work and there was a Chelsea v United game I wouldn't be able to get a ticket to the united section? Damn

You couldn't get them through the club no, you'd have to buy them off a reseller

I've had my season ticket for 2 years now, can't wait for the 17/18 season when I can apply for away games

yeah atmosphere is probably different class

The club allocates a higher priority for away tickets to longer standing supporters who have season tickets and regularly purchase tickets to cup matches etc.

So you don't really get day trippers or tourists in the away end, but more true supporters.
