That depends entirely on how much restructuring there is over the summer.

By your logic you could say that for every manager winning the league in their first season at a club.

Right. If Mourinho comes in and brings a RW, CB and a CM (especially if it's Renato Sanches...) you could definitely say that LvG rebuilt a successful squad in large part, and was one summer of transfers away. And we'd even brought Di Maria, but just didn't know that he was still set on Paris...

I think that with top class in those positions brought in this is a very good squad that is very young and can absolutely fight for the league and then see players like Martial rise to the absolute top. So if that happens then yeah, of course LvG will have built that in large part.

No. Because that would mean LVG got the team playing well beforehand. Let's not forget that if Mou comes in, it'd mean LVG was sacked for failing in all his objectives. If we're witnessing the progress of his foundation then it's an awful one and i want it torn up.

There's no reason then why LvG failed. Afterall, LvG is Mourinho's mentor. So if student succeeds then why didn't the mentor of that student?
