They never actually said they were suing anyone. Seems like a lot of individuals took things out of context. I was a part of the Twitter conversation between Andreas and the CEO of Uphold, Anthony Watson, and he never said they're suing anyone. Andreas just got upset over the fact they trademarked the tagline even though it's used often to describe BTC.

They're a global service that'll allow you to buy Ethereum with a bank account in 190 countries. Even if you don't like them -- the service will still be there for many others. And, for you if you wish to simply use them as a broker then move your Ether to a personal wallet.

I remember a similar outcry at Coinbase patenting some storage methods, it's all a legal thing. Doesn't mean the service doesn't still do what it's suppose to. Not taking sides just spittin' facts, yo.
