Youngster passes Man United recruitment test, huge transfer on horizon

French striker Ousmane Dembele is enjoying a breakthrough season at Ligue 1 club Nantes, where the 18-year-old has 10 goals and 5 assists to his name this season.

Dembele has been attracting interest from several big clubs in Europe, and that has only seen him improve further. The player has scored five goals in his last six games, including a hat-trick against Nantes, when the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Sunderland, Southampton and Leicester were watching him.

Yesterday, we reported Manchester United and Manchester City have sent scouts to watch Dembélé against Marseille at the Stade Vélodrome, and once again the forward impressed the onlookers. French newspaper L'Equipe said it was Dembele Manchester United wanted to run their transfer eye over, and they won't have been disappointed.

L'Equipe are mightily impressed by the youngster's performance, and gave him 8/10 for his brilliant show. The 18-year-old was on the score sheet and was the highest rated player alongside Yoann Gourcuff.

It remains to be seen if Manchester United will, once again, get lucky in France, as there is a lot of interest in Dembele, and they should act quickly if they're genuinely interested in signing him. Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also credited with interest and it looks like a huge transfer for Dembele could be on in the summer.
