And no, it's not going to be a stupid gif or joke.
Fellaini has weaknesses in his game -- his passing is inconsistent, his vision isn't exactly world class, his finishing is often saddening -- but one place where he is good (yes, genuinely) is in bringing down a ball out of defence, controlling it, and laying it off or moving it on to someone in order to transition from defence to attack. This is a huge part of LVG's tactical plan, and it really surprises me that, unless I'm missing something, nobody mentions it when the daily discussions pop-up about how shit Fellaini is. And I don't mean lump it up to him in the box and hope he can knock it down (although that -- disappointingly -- does seem to be the plan b). This is more to do with trying to make a quick transition in order to exploit the fact that the opposing team are out of position. It's just a shame that we seem unable to pull it off, or that how LVG has set the team up isn't working, or...whatever it is that is causing us to be quite bad at playing football.
Before I get loads of stick: I'm not really a fan of him either -- but so many people say they have no idea what LVG sees in him that I thought I ought to mention it.
Anyway, roll on the derby. As you were.
