Oh wow, that is lame as fuck.

I'm watching people frothing at the mouth on NeoGAF over this. Just plain stupid. Do people not get out of the house? I mean, have people never been to a club? Ever?

Some people need to grow up.

Aren't booth girls dressed scantily a thing at every convention? Isn't a large part of cosplay the same thing? Why is no one bitching about female costumes in basically all fighting games? This is just people that dislike Microsoft jumping on the tail of an issue that they wouldn't care about if it came from a company they liked.

People have complained about that for years.

E3 has actually cut back on that now and for good reasons. I really don't want the gaming industry to be associated with this.

Associated with what exactly? You don't think it's okay to pay people for legal jobs that they do?

[–]DARIFDAR1F -3ポイント-2ポイント  (2子コメント)

Exactly, if we want to see gaming being seen as a serious hobby and a form of art we need to cut the crap and mature.

Who even cares, most of these parties are for adults also. It's a part of the girls job also, it's not like they companies are forcing them at their will. Have you ever been to a traditional sport after party? Like nba or NFL. I guess we better not have cosplay conventions anymore because people are immature and sensitive about everything also. Gaming is already taken serious, if not there wouldn't be billions pumped into it every year. Not would we have people like Shaq, A rod, or Mark Cuban investing in exports.

Who even cares,

I and many others.

most of these parties are for adults also.

And there are adults complaining.

It's a part of the girls job also, it's not like they companies are forcing them at their will.

People do what they have to to pay the bills.

Have you ever been to a traditional sport after party? Like nba or NFL.

Neither of those are big in the UK. And what do you mean by traditional after party? If you mean like watching with friends and celebrating then no, we don't hire dancers.

I guess we better not have cosplay conventions anymore because people are immature and sensitive about everything also.

Straw man. Conventions are different. People are showing off their art there, both genders do it and people can wear what they want to. This has nothing to do with immaturity, ignoring this problem and blaming sensitivity, sjws and pc culture instead of actually discussing it is immature.

Gaming is already taken serious,

No it isn't. Game dev is famously hostile to women. I didn't follow gamergate but the attitudes some men were showing during the hype were absolutely vile.

if not there wouldn't be billions pumped into it every year.

Money has nothing to do with it being taken seriously. The Chinese super league and MLS buy football players for exorbitant amounts for example, but no one takes them seriously in football. They're known as retirement leagues.

Not would we have people like Shaq, A rod, or Mark Cuban investing in exports.

Idk how this is relevant or what it means.

Its the anti Microsoft initiative...if Sony did this they would easily defend it as its just them having fun....but since its their opposition...might as well burn it all down to the ground...

Why this is a topic of conversation at neogaf is ridiculous. People just want to shit on anything Microsoft.

[–]el_profe -3ポイント-2ポイント  (0子コメント)

Attendees weren't intent on going to a club, though.

[–]MrStruggleSnuggle [スコア非表示]  (0子コメント)

The people complaining are mainly just upset because the people who attended it got closer to a scantily clad woman than they ever have.
