Ehh GDC isnt the place for this sort of thing. I can understand why people would be upset. Its a professional even for networking and such. The backlash is a bit deserved.

They're doing it all wrong anyways. You show up to a business event to showcase what you're offering and what the future holds for your product. The "feel-good", easily-offended, quick-to-judge world we live in is absolutely awful. Recently, one of my friends was accused of being a pedophile because he was watching his niece at the park and the mothers there didn't believe they were related.
