No they had a "Women in gaming" event during GDC, the dancers were hired for a GDC after party event. A lady attended and was disgusted and some more guests felt it was inappropriate.

Seems like it was pretty blown out of proportion to me

It was, but it's still a bad look. It's a type of "booth babe" culture that most of the industry has moved passed.

It pissed me off and I'm glad to see it addressed with professionalism and maturity

So the women got paid and weren't exploited for their lifestyle by making them out to be victims of men by the internet?

oh wait... that last one.

Aww did some internet people rustle your jimmies cause they criticised the objectification of women?

Who said that? What are you even talking about? It's inappropriate for Microsoft to have hired "sexy schoolgirl" dancers to be at the GDC after party. You're talking about exploitation, victims, and God knows what else.

So get some male dancers too.....if they have a problem with that, remind them that they are adults.

I'm sure the intention was to make the party fun, but it just makes Microsoft look like a bunch of sexist perverts.

If they had also had male dancers I think you would have seen far fewer complaints, and I agree that in that case complaints would have been invalid.

It's not about having sexy dancers, it's about who the dancers, and thus the party, were for (straight men).

Who the hell is this Kamina and why does she have such a massive pole up her ass on twitter? Urgh.
