If they didn't also warn us about President Obama I'm not going to trust their prognostics too much.

Edit:

We did it Reddit. I'm at -100 and counting!

What did Obama do that they were supposed to warn us about?

Took all our guns and made gas 8 bucks a gallon, duh.

Jailed more whistleblowers than all other Presidents combined? Signed into law the government's ability to kill US citizens without due process? That's just off the top of my head.

The richest also got way richer under Obama, and money is still in politics. Guantanamo Bay is open, and Russia despises us. Many things he promised to fix. Didn't happen.

Many things he promised to fix

To be fair, every politician on Earth breaks promises, especially US Presidents. It's simply not possible to accomplish everything.

I'm not an Obama fan but politifact has this which is fairly interesting

That is definitely interesting. I do agree that Obama is not a bad president, but there are many BIG issues he promised to do something about and didn't.

Then there's many small ones he did fix, which helps his 'ratings'.

You realize he's not a dictator, right? He can't just wiggle his hips and, bam, it becomes law. He has to work with some of the most stubborn, and as of the midterm election, predominantly republican branches who have no problem obstructing to play politics.

Don't let the tea party hear you say that.

[–]Why_are_you_so_dumb_ 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)

Except for the fact that he's signed more executive orders than any other president in the history of ever. Which is taking action as the president without any other approval from the legislative branch.

Like that one time he killed 2 US citizens (one of them a 15 year old boy) by dropping bombs on a sovereign nation without any due process whatsoever and then refused to show evidence to the American people citing "national security". Their crimes were apparently so bad that merely telling us what they did would place all American safety in jeopardy.

My biggest problem with him, in foreign policy, is Syria and Ukraine, which he handled very poorly. I do give him a lot of credit for the Iran deal (big supporter here) and the easing of tensions with Cuba.

That's not fair. That's just a shit excuse.

What I mean is, sometimes it becomes literally impossible to keep a promise during your tenure as President or a Congressman. You can promise to end Guantanamo, but it may prove impossible if there's nowhere else to send the prisoners, for example.

The bitch of it is, you're never going to get elected if your campaign involves the truth, such as "I'm going to try my damndest to pass this legislation I truly believe in! But it might not work...in fact, it probably won't work...but I'll give it my best and if I fail, we'll try some other time. Maybe."

[–]Moyazu 0

Life isn't fair. The man already signed a ton of executive orders.

Especially because he had to deal with the "do nothing" congress"

Welcome to democracy, the safest form of government tends to produce the least results. I just hope Congress treats trump or clinton the same way.

As opposed to all the congressmen that had nothing to do with that, aye?

Drone strikes on innocent civilians ring a bell?

I didn't care enough to downvote, but then I saw your edit and did immediately.

Thanks for your concern.

Mm. Making yourself a victim makes you an asshole, not automatically right.

I'm not the victim. I'm probably the most-read post in this topic. I've got 1000s of upvotes stored up here so that I can afford to be honest even if that makes me controversial.

You're most read post. And I know you're not the victim, but your edit makes you look like you're trying to be one.
