So I was thinking after last game: since Fergie left, did we sign any player who is possibly world class or may develop into one? Someone who when you look at other big teams, could easily have a role there.

My quick and shitty summary:
- Martial shows a lot of promise, but maybe he is not quite there yet (especially with almost no support)
- Shaw also looks promising, injuries aside
- Schneiderlin's form seems to have dropped but that may be related to the injuries (or the general state of the team)
- Schweinsteiger is good when he is fit (injuries weren't kind to him either), he has a role here for sure
- Memphis is a huge question mark for us at the moment
- Darmian sometimes has one of those days and switches off, not that sure about him atm
- Blind never even plays in his own position
- Rojo, Herrera, Mata have their moments - both in positive and negative sense
- Fellaini... I am not allowed to say anything
- Mr Snake was never even interested in being here and did fuck off eventually, he is mentioned only because he was a "big name"

Sorry if I have missed someone important, it wasn't intentional.
So my point is: if there is really money available for transfers, why are we in this state and why do we look so mediocre even in the transfers? Is it Ed, is it Moyes/LVG, is it all of them, is it the "market's fault"?
And just to make it clear: I am not complaining about not enough big names signing for us (I'm actually happier with someone unknown signing for us who can rise up to the occasion), I am complaining about the lack of real quality (or the prospect of it) we got over the years - we can't just rely on an academy which is apparently in a bind. I miss the days when we had players who could turn around a game...
