I had a very good conversation regarding onboarding a major eBay seller onto OpenBazaar. There will be Macbooks, tablets & all sorts of photography supplies! The problem is that it's a big enough company that risks are pretty scary. Namely, tax evasion.
Does OpenBazaar have a mechanism for a surcharge by state? Even if it isn't referred to as tax? If a product is sold to someone in the same state, he has to pay tax whether he collects it or doesn't. Without the possibility to collect tax, he would need to markup the price across the board by 1%-3% and risk that the amount collected will be greater or equal than the amount owed to taxes. It's possible, but hopefully a last resort. Also, that raises costs for everyone.
Any opinions, ideas and input are appreciated!
