Coutinho has been proactive all game even though he is short and weak just like Mata. He dribbles around, he takes chances, he shoots. I think Mata has been exposed as the mediocrity he is. He wouldn't even start for this garbage Liverpool team.

Players like Coutinho are poisonous. They pop up just often enough that they don't get dropped but so seldom that they never win anything. Much rather have Mata.

They're different players, Coutinho is having a decent game but he's not perfect by any means.

Mata would absolutely start for this Liverpool team too.
