I didn't catch the West Ham game but in the two games prior, I don't recall Rashford even touching the ball... I don't particularly rate Lingard but he is by far the better player currently, especially on the wing. We're expecting far too much from Rashford right now, he started great but its clear he is way out of his depth, as is expected from someone that has just turned 18.

This is an important match against Liverpool and we need to be fielding our strongest side, not young inconsistent players out of position.

smaller players in regards to corners and rashford over lingard coz lingard never takes anyone on and is too predictable

Yes but more he play teams will watch him more and try to find solution that is diff from best players who will find way or Lingard who just go missing after put under pressure(not only him good part of our team).

Rashford is a much better RW than Lingard. Provides more going forward and equal defensively.

Mata should be taking corners, I'm not sure why he hasn't been. Blind just never seems to ever threaten with his corners.

Stretching to claim Rashford is a much better RW than Lingard

His only senior start at RW was his worst game so far, vs. Liverpool. Granted LvG had Varela tracking Coutinho all over the pitch, but Rashford played fullback for a half then got dragged off. He's simply not experienced enough to find the balance between being an out ball and defending with discipline. Yeah he'll beat a man 1v1, but how many 1v1's did he get himself into at anfield?

He outpaces Lingard, but I challenge you to name another area he's better. Lingard knows this which is why he bases his game around picking the ball up in dangerous pockets of space and quickly combining with others more than taking a defender to the end line. Lingard has found his game, Rashford hasn't--not from RW anyways. Certainly Marcus has a higher ceiling overall, but he's 18 and he is a striker so it's understandable that he's not the better RW.

Anfield is a terrible judge of his quality. We sat back and he played as RB instead of RW. That's not a judge of his ability as RW. His work in the second half against Watford is your comparison. An open game where he actually played as a RW. He was dynamic. Went byline consistently and beat his man. Idk but that seems to me as much more than Lingard does in layoffs consistently. Don't get me wrong I'm a big fan of Lingard but I don't think this should be much of an argument.

Debatable. Rashford held his own against Liverpool in that first half

No he didn't. Rashford has been miles out of his depth for several games now

Coutinho was running riot on their left hand side, he was the best player on the pitch.
