For a little while his comics were making but frontpage nearly everyday. Even though the comics are mediocre at best. People then accused OP of vote manipulation. It's just a stupid internet thing.

Ah. See I wasn't a fan of seeing the 'lol totally relatable xd' comics shen made front paging every single bloody day. Sure they were alright. but I got really sick of it.

I have no idea, however. That others also felt there was something going on and went as far to call the vote manipulation hammer.

Even I, the not-fan, doubt it's vote manipulative. It's just content people love relate to.

And that's fine. There's no need to go out of their way to put them down just for making a comic they don't like. Easy enough to ignore the comics entirely.
