When will people learn not to make threads about others until GAMES ARE FINISHED?

[–]doesnt_like_pantsHerrera 43ポイント44ポイント  (1子コメント)

Bergli is the biggest shitposter in this subreddit. I just wish he'd be banned. Tbh I can't even believe he's getting up voted for this thread considering what he's saying is nonsense.

No one should get banned for genuine opinions. He explains stuff. It is not just a troll post.

When will Guardiola prove himself without Coman????

Rival watch

[–]Rolling_TomassiShaw 1ポイント2ポイント  (0子コメント)

Rival watch makes sense, the results affect us.

This is just a circle jerk post.

I hope never because then we won't get such fun threads like these :D

You jinxed it

And then its 4 lol. This is actually hilarious. Shit post of the year, surely? Also, thank fuck for the coefficent's sake

This needs to be linked to the r/Juve sub. This jinxed it lol

Why do people even post this shit without waiting for the match to end

Rekt.

RIP this thread.

EDIT: AAAAAAAND it's 4-2 now lol

Funniest/saddest thing about this post is that it was getting tones of upvotes before Munich levelled. It's amazing how people keep doubting Pep. It's like they don't watch his teams play football. Bonkers.

Let's just wait and see what happens in this second half. I don't want him to, but they could turn it around. This is Bayern after all..

So much for being trashed.

I don't believe how you can't rate Guardiola if you're a football fan. He's a good manager and he'll have a positive impact on City, imo

Focus on what we're doing as Manchester United, not what other perspective managers are doing.

I cannot understand anyone who says Guardiola always takes easy teams. That would be like saying that the CEOs of best companies in the world like Google, Apple, etc have the easiest jobs.

[–]the_trainmanRooney 8ポイント9ポイント  (0子コメント)

I really don't know how we can call Guardiola things like coward, overrated, hypocrite, etc and in the same breath, call the fans of other clubs deluded/cocky.

We need to hate Guardiola because he's going to be coaching City, not because hes a bad coach.

LMAO

Soo about that

Such a stupid post. Delusional at its best. If you honestly think united don't want him then you don't understand football.

I hope the people watching this match come to an understanding of just how overrated Lingard is by watching Kingsley Coman (who is 4 years younger than Lingard). "He's a good squad player". Yeah, for Newcaslte. We're Man United.

You misspelled Memphis

No, you can see the potential in Memphis. You can see he just needs to adjust to the pace of the league, but this cuck Lingard is 23years old right now and I see nothing. "He works hard". So would all of us. It's a joke he gets any time over the likes of Pereira and even Januzaj.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him sold off if Jose comes in. He's just not good enough.

Honestly he's not even nearly as good as Welbz

I don't know how he gets minutes ahead of Pereira/Januzaj. He's not even a good enough squad player imo. He's the kind of player you bring on to protect a lead.

Depay is 22 years old. Lingard has more goals than him in the league.

Guy, let's not start going through technicalities. I think it's painfully obvious that Memphis has showed much more potential than Lingard. If you disagree then I respect your opinion but I guarantee the consensus takes Memphis over Lingard.

I think it's painfully obvious that Memphis has showed much more potential than Lingard.

lol no he hasn't. Memphis has been utter shite unless he plays against pub teams. Pretty much every decent fullback has had him in their pocket.

I don't rate Lingard that much, but has been better than Memphis plain and simple.

Why do you have to shit on lingard? He is doing his bit for us. And we are not exactly in the best of moments. It just makes no sense

And while we are at it, how come Bayern and Juventus keep making all these great purchases much cheaper than the overrated "talent" we have? Coman, Dybala, Morata, Alex Sandro would all have strengthened our team and they were all cheaper than most of our non-defender purchases.

To be fair, Memphis, Morgan, Ander, etc would all shine under Mourinho.

To be fair, each team he's lost to has gone on to win it so far. Let's not pretend he's clueless.

And last season against Barca he could barely field a fit team

Well Manchester City is going to be a big wake up call for him. And baldy couldn't wait until the end of the season to announce he's leaving Bayern.

God I hope baldy doesnt get CL next season.

JusticeForPellegrini

  1. Barca to Bayern isn't "always"
  2. Yeah what a coward wanting to manage top sides.

Barca-Bayern-City. That's always.

Why would he accept a job at a worse team though?

I just hope Sunderland stay up so we can see Pep pitted against Big Sam

exposed by Mourinho and the gang.

He's been exposed by every decent manager he has faced. Now it's Allegri who is making an embarrassment out of him. He could have spent his post-Barcelona career taking on something challenging to develop as a manager but he decided to pick the only job easier than managing PSG, managing Bayern.

[–]doesnt_like_pantsHerrera 16ポイント17ポイント  (0子コメント)

Oh get fucked. I don't care who he manages he's still one of the top 5 coaches in the world and we would have been lucky to have him.

He did brilliant at Barca B, he took over the first team when they weren't in a world class position and made them the undisputed best team in the world and made some big calls doing it (by selling certain players etc.)

At Bayern he's identified some supreme talent in Kimmich, has integrated Coman and brought in Bernat and Benatia. He's left the squad in a position of power just as he did Barca.

Just because he can't win the treble every season doesn't mean he's not a brilliant manager.

Please stop both your knee-jerking and your shit-posting.

By your logic Wenger isn't a decent manager.

There is not a single club Pep has faced that has a winning record against him, NOT ONE.

And only 3 coaches have a net winning record against him.

There is not a coach currently on the planet which is even close to him, statistically or tactically.

It is going to be very interesting to see him come up against the Premiership... we will finally see if hes as good as everyone thinks.

Fair play if he is buts its first real test as a manager

You lot are very amusing, cheers!

And now its 3-2. I'm happy we're getting Mourinho but the result today won't have changed anything, Pep is still one of the world's best managers. Can't believe this was upvoted, even at 2-0 down...

lol, wow

I think there's a bit of revisionist history going on. If he had announced when he was leaving Bayern that he was coming to us instead of City people who would have been ecstatic.

EDIT: Downvoted so here's some proof people wanted Pep:

Who did you originally want? Jose?

Pochettino.

I like you.

(Seriously)

Glad I'm not the only one pushing for Poch.

Poch has the potential to be the next Simeone. It's a massive mistake that we aren't considering him. There are only two managers as good or better than him at discovering youth players and turning them into top class, and that is Klopp and Simeoene. His teams have aggression, fast movement, and play direct football. He would light up Old Trafford for years to come.

I'd prefer him to Mourinho MAYBE, I've not thought about it much because I just don't think it's going to happen, he's digging in to settle down at Tottenham as far as I can tell.

I would be content either way, tbh.

Agreed. Mou temps me with that instant success thing, we do need a trophy soon to avoid becoming Liverpool.

Add me to the list. Never wanted him here. Glad he's not coming. He could win the quadruple with City and I still wouldn't want him at United. I just don't like his style of play.

I wouldn't. I haven't been convinced by him ever. There are better options for United than Pep.

Edit: Here's a comment I made about a year ago talking about Pep not being the right man for United..

Obviously some people didn't want him but there was widespread love for him on this sub before he chose City.

Oh yeah, there was definitely a lot of love for him, no doubting you there. The same thing as always with this sub is that different people are vocal at different times. You aren't going to hear of many Fellaini lovers right now, even though there are plenty.

Definitely in contention for shitpost of the year...

LOL this is funny right now

Being that it's 2-2... how are you feeling right now exactly?

I'm feeling 100% right about what I said. Juventus are lacking three of their best players, and they are 2-2 away from home against the supposedly 2nd or 3rd best team in Europe. If Chiellini, Dybala and Marchisio had been on the scoreline would hae been much better for Juventus.

lol nice one dickhead.

LVG would have only bought on some full back instead of changing the game with attacking subs like Thiago and Coman.

Dude is such a pompous ass.

In my opinion he's still one of the best tactical managers in the world. Are we supposed to trash him now that he's going to City?

How is he one of the best tactical managers in the world? Do you not remember how he was exposed by Ancelotti in the CL? And now he is getting exposed by Allegri. Both Ancelotti and Allegri decided to play compact and on the counter against him. Every decent team with a decent manager can outplay his tactics.

The teams you are talking about aren't decent teams with decent managers. They're elite European teams. Everyone wants to trash Guardiola like he's a false prophet but the fact is his teams are dominant and his players are tactically on another level. At one point this season his team was the only undefeated European team in the top 3 leagues. Staying compact and everything is easy to say but on the pitch it is a whole different monster. Everyone knows how bayern Munich plays, not everyone can stop it.

I'm not saying he's not overrated, because he may be. But to say your glad that any decent team can beat them is outrageous. Hate pep for going to city but don't get it twisted, he's a fantastic manager.

So basically not Alex Ferguson?

I don't remember Alex Ferguson having a decent team compared to what Barcelona fielded those two finals. Actually I would love to see Pep reach the semi-finals with a squad as weak as Alex Ferguson had in 2011.

09 and 11 were decent teams, surely they should've outplayed his tactics?

11 was nowhere a decent team for a CL final. He also fielded 3 of the worlds 5 best players against United in 2011. Tim Sherwood could have won that final had he managed Barcelona.

[–]the_trainmanRooney 2ポイント3ポイント  (0子コメント)

This is just sad. C'mon mate, Tim Sherwood?

Also, you say he fielded 3 of world's 5 best players, as if he shouldn't have. Like, who wouldn't? Also, you really really can't deny that we were outplayed by his tactics in both those years.

Damn those must've hurt you.

There goes Fraudiola winning again

[–]the_trainmanRooney 1ポイント2ポイント  (0子コメント)

No point in calling him a coward. Managing two of the greatest clubs in history would be anyone's dream.

And you might not like it, but City are a much better run club and have more things going on for them than we do. We will be too, but in a few years - with the DoF coming in, investment in the academy, personnel overhaul. Guardiola might be anyways thinking about managing his next club for 3-4 years - and for that time frame, with unlimited funds, CIty are very attractive.

Great sub by Pep, 3-2 now! You don't have a clue mate.

Once I said here that he is overrated because he always takes over established sides (and he doesn't have much tactical versatility) - for this I was downvoted and got plenty of hate. He just isn't as amazing as everyone makes him out to be. Of course, this was before it turned out that he is going to City and people were hoping that he will manage United... oh, how things change around here! :)

Do people really call Pep a coward ? Fucking lol.

There were two managers who managed Barca after him and both of them failed miserably. Of course having Messi in your team is great but Guardiola plays a bigger role. He's the one who motivates players to get on that pitch and demolish their opposition.

OP must be 15 at best.

Erm, I wouldn't say Tito Vilanova "failed miserably". He won the league in his only season despite being diagnosed with cancer in December, then died the following year.

Completely agree about Guardiola though.

You should be embarrassed about this shit

I am so happy we didn't get this guy

You were probably the first to ride that Pep rumor train to the bank. GTFO with this bullshit.

Such a fraud 2 semi finals in a row and now a quarter final, we can only dream of that.

I'm not expecting him to destroy the league but he'll bring a mental strength and organisation that city lack badly.

He is a coward that goes to the best teams? Why the fuck would he not go to the best teams? He's the best manager in the world. What a shit post, this is the kind of shit that ruins genuine discussion on this subreddit.

Anyone that thinks he's not going to be a success at City is kidding themselves. He will win the premier league before he leaves, and hopefully we bring in Mourinho to challenge Pep so he doesn't dominate.

Yeah, thank Christ we've gone for the bloke who got knocked out in the last 16 by 10-man PSG last season.

This is some serious revisionism of Guardiola's record, getting knocked out in the semis by the eventual winners is no disgrace. Winning the Champion's League is far more difficult than you're making it out to be.

Edit: My point is not to discredit Mourinho, but to say that what's being called a failure for Guardiola is nothing of the sort.

[–]goodguy1994it's Rooneyyy, it's inevitable. some things are meant to be

They faced shit teams until the semi finals both seasons.

How about thank God for the guy that won the CL facing the greatest team in the world (Barcelona) on the way? Or how about thank God for the guy that won the CL with fucking Porto? Or how about thank God for the guy that Alex Ferguson didn't once beat away from home?

[–]the_trainmanRooney 1ポイント2ポイント  (3子コメント)

Mourinho's UEFA win w/ Porto is very overrated, quite frankly. It IS a fantastic achievement, mind you, but look at the teams they faced - Partizan Belgrade, Marseille, Lyon, Deportivo, Monaco. Other than us and Real Madrid (group stage), they didn't really face any elite team along the way and we were 5 mins away from knocking them out.

I don't know why you're being so aggressive and snappy, but denying that Guardiola is world-class, a winner and a great tactician is just wrong...

Read what you just wrote "other than us and Real Madrid". Do you think it was easy for any team to beat Man United and Real Madrid back then?

They didn't beat Real Madrid though, they lost one game and drew the other. Plus United finished 3rd that season, behind Arsenal and Chelsea.

[–]the_trainmanRooney 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)

Real Madrid, absolutely not. Us, in 2003, it certainly wasn't impossible. Bear in mind that 2001-2006 were some of the worst seasons for us - players such a Kleberson, Fortune, 'not quite great yet' Fletcher, etc., our football wasn't the best and domestically we were doing quite badly (1 title in 5 seasons). So beating us when we were going through a bad patch, losing to Real and beating clubs below you in the pecking order - isn't really a world beating achievement.

How about thank God for the guy that won the CL facing the greatest team in the world (Barcelona) on the way?

Brilliant. The reason they were the greatest team in the world is partly because of Guardiola. They certainly weren't before he took over

They stayed the best team after he left though. They only had a patchy period during the time when Messi was suffering from injuries and out of form. They also won the treble last year with a weaker squad than what Pep had.

So would you say Chelsea's success after Mourinho left (the first time) is nothing to do with him? Or would you say it's built on his legacy?

You can call it a weaker squad if you like, I would say it's arguably the greatest forward line of all time.

Chelsea's success is 90% due to Abramovich. They sack managers all the time and still remain one of the best teams in England.

Barcelona now has the best forward line of all time (I agree). But Pep had peak Iniesta and Xavi, whereas Xavi lat season wasn't a regular starter because of age and Iniesta was nowhere near as good as he was 5 years ago. He also had Henry, Messi and Eto'o, so his forward line was not that far behind the current Barcelona one. In midfield he had Toure, and at the back he had Puyol who was one of the greatest defenders of the past 20 years and Alves who I think was better than both keepers Barcelona had last season

This guy is overrated and hypocrite, he is a fine manager but not so special. Barcelona and Cruyff made his career he is nowhere near Mourinho imo. Can't wait next season with his already injury prone players at City and the cold, rainy and competitive Premier!

[–]doesnt_like_pantsHerrera 2ポイント3ポイント  (0子コメント)

His head to head against Mourinho is unreal..

I feel sorry for City getting a manager who has failed at Bayern Munich.

Edit: Should have waited until the semi's to say that.

I love seeing bayern lose. Their fans are massively cocky, a lot more cocky than even Barcelona fans, their teams full of cunts like Ribery, Robben, Neuer, Vidal and their manager always looks smug.

[–]the_trainmanRooney 4ポイント5ポイント  (1子コメント)

I was just going to type that 'that haven't lost yet' and Muller scores.

I am sure they're smug because they have one of the best teams in the world/winning everything. Everyone of us was smug when we were in a similar position.

Tbf I didn't say I think they will lose I just said I like seeing them lose.

They play similar to us, boring, sideways passing and their two goals came from two crosses, not some magical passing sequence. They just have very good players that can make stuff happen like Costa and Coman, especially Coman, he tore Sandro to pieces.

Bayern is such a hateable team. They keep sucking their rivals for any talent they have. Such a disgusting team.
