I spent 40 minutes translating this article

And still didn't want the link-karma? My man!

This is excellent work, thank you for translating and getting it on here.

I would like to pick up on one thing - it always amuses me when they talk about home ownership or leases playing a part in transfer rumours. As if a footballer or manager earning millions and millions a year is going to sweat being tied to a six month lease, or trying to sell a house.

You could just imagine the BBC headline - "Kane's £60m transfer to Manchester United has fallen through when the chain for his house collapsed. Due to previous subsidence issues in the property, he will be unlikely to find a new buyer so will be staying at Spurs for the foreseeable future. There are hopes the deal can be resurrected in the January transfer window if he manages to fix the leak in the downstairs toilet"

Anyways...

This just sounds like that other forum's article where they just compiled bullshit from recent years

Well, you have to pay to be a member of the Scandinavian supporters club, which gives you access to these articles. They have Solskjaer and Giggs as special members of the supporters club, up until recently having Giggs write his own column in every monthly magazine, getting exclusive interviews and articles from players and staff. In this case, that means that the journalism keeps a high level, and that simple rumours never gets mentioned. This article features all things that the editor knows from his sources that are more or less true, in an effort to summarize what is going on at the moment among all Twitter rumours and speculations.

Very interesting read, and I'm very glad that the article highlights the difficulty of the decision for Woodward and co. Giggs is my favourite player ever, I have at least 5 of his jerseys, he is everything that is right about the club, and I really really wanted for him to take over for LVG, after the successful first season in charge. After this tumultuous second season, I'm just really not sure.

I would love for Giggs to take over, however I really sympathize for Woodward here. If another managerial appointment goes wrong, he will be sacked, and the club will distance themselves even further from the top clubs in England and Europe. The club needs success, even if it is a bit short sighted. We are Manchester United, we can't go 4 or 5 or 6 years without winning a title and competing in Europe.

Mourinho would bring success, which is what we need right now. Ideally Giggs will be happy to stay for another 3 or 4 years, until Mourinho burns out. Unlikely that he will accept that though. Very tough decision for Woodward coming up, but even as a huge Giggs fan, I think Mourinho is the right choice.

Im leaning SLIGHTLY towards Giggs mainly because I believe that IF Giggs is successful we will have a manager for (possibly) decades. Maybe wishfull thinking, i dont know. If mou gets appointed, and he is successful we have a manager for 3 years, then its the same thing again, and imagine seeing Giggs take over Southampton after Koeman takes over after Wenger and is really really successfull there.
