This was bound to happen. Breitbart is full of actual conservatives, but their stories are rarely given priority because of the Trump train of mindless followers who are now the primary readership. People like Ben Shapiro were inevitably going to leave the company when they had gotten so far away from his friend Andrew Breitbart's legacy.

Aside from their Trump cheerleading, the quality in general has been spiraling for a while over there.

Just hitting their front page has always been a risky click but it's gotten worse; you don't know what's going to be in your face when you do.... The picture of Egyptian women squatting, menstruating and pooping on flags comes to mind.

It's a shame too, because they do have some good investigative journalists and writers, but lately they're getting buried under nonsense like their writers' social media spats. It's middle school drama that makes it hard to take them seriously as a news organization.

I don't know who they've decided their demographic is, but it isn't me.

So trump supporters aren't real conservatives? Who is a real conservative then? Someone who wants to give amnesty to millions of illegals? Someone who is on the wall st payroll? Someone who believes Americans should be dying for israel?

Generally, someone who believes in smaller government.

Someone who believes in an actual limited government, where the government isn't the solution to every problem, where there are limits to what the government can and should do, where we take personal responsibility for ourselves, and respect everyone, and all human life. How about that?

For that matter, that makes very few conservatives in Washington for the Republican party, which is demonstrated by the fact that Washington has continued to grow and grow for decades, even under GOP congresses.

Hell no Trump isn't a conservative. The guy believes in government power, government solutions, and himself.

Edit: added more commentary.

No true Scotsman, trump is a conservative. Cruz is a maniac, a sociopath.

I unliked Breitbart on facebook today. I am such a rebel. Today, liberty rang with resounding and infallible power.

I'm going to grab an iced tea and sit back while I enjoy watching Breitbart implode.

I'm also hopeful that the current energy motivates people like Shapiro to come together and make something new and better that will garner a lot of quick support.

Shapiro has the Daily Wire, where he also has his own Podcast along with Andrew Klavan.

The daily wire gave $15 million to Cruz, it's no surprise that he suddenly stopped liking trump.

Bannon's morning show on Patriot 125 has turned into a support group for Trump supporters.

Am I the only Breitbart reader that hasn't seen Trump bias outside of the Michelle Fields incident?

I've read them for a long time and I think they're biased.

Ever since they have gone all in for Trump they are only publishing positive stories about him.

But, I do think they've been fair to Cruz, unlike other Trump sites.

[–]FeelWhatIFeelUndecided Conservative 1

I think they've been pretty fair to be honest. They're the only news outlet I know that doesn't report the news with the same liberal spin as the other ones do.

They're definitely pro right I would even say biased to the right.

But they're also very pro Trump and since I really dislike Trump they stopped being my go-to site.

[–]FeelWhatIFeelUndecided Conservative 3

I know they're biased to the right, I just never felt like they favored any one particular candidate.

To me it looked like they were pro Trump and Cruz then went to neutral Cruz and extremely pro Trump.

They always were and still are anti-establishment which I like.

I don't hold anything against them for being pro Trump, a lot of people are and I respect that.

I'm just saddened that I lost my favorite news site. If they turn it around or maybe after the election I'll try them again. I haven't been able to find a good replacement.

They seem a little pro-trump to me. But not nearly as pro-trump as The Blaze is pro-cruz. That place is completely unabashed in it's biasedness.

I don't really know the Blaze, it's Glenn Beck's site (I think) and he officially endorsed Cruz so that makes sense.

I personally don't care much for Glenn, even though he endorsed Cruz he's way too over the top for my taste.

Let me put it this way: from the many posts of yours I've seen, you appear to be a Trump supporter. You may not be, though I'm not sure how anybody could assume otherwise. I mention this because I should think it obvious that when the bias favors the candidate you like, you're more apt to view it as fair coverage rather than bias. In that sense, I imagine Trump supporters reading Breitbart (and they may be the only people left, since most of the rest of us are done with that rag) probably agree with you. But of course in a conservative subreddit, voices supporting Trump are going to be comparatively few, because it is so painfully obvious that he isn't a conservative.

[–]FeelWhatIFeelUndecided Conservative 3

Feel free to read through my post history then. I was a Ted Cruz supporter as of Friday until his pathetically weak response to the protests in Chicago. Now I'm undecided. The only thing I care about ATM is fighting the absurd levels of bias I've seen on here the last few days. Trump is an unbelievable idiot but that doesn't mean I'm going to mindlessly shill for any one candidate.

Friday was a chance for Ted Cruz to secure Trump's voter base for the general. I don't understand his thinking.

He's afraid he's not going to get to the general. While I think he should've acted differently, it was a tricky situation in that Trump was always going to play this towards keeping himself in the limelight and staving off Cruz' challenge. Cruz can no longer afford to draft behind Trump, he's got to hurt Trump now in order to give himself a fighting chance in the winner-take-most states ahead.

[–]FeelWhatIFeelUndecided Conservative 3

He completely dropped the ball.

I can't believe he sided with BLM and Sanders, even using their talking points, against trump and the police.

I don't know that Cruz could do or say anything to secure Trump's base. Some of his supporters, yes, but unlikely his base. They seem to believe with every fiber of their being that Cruz is an ineligible, establishment puppet owned by Goldman Sachs.

Don't worry bro, if you say anything positive about Trump in /r/conservative you are instantly labeled as a psycho Trump supporting nazi.

I think many people here think any favorable coverage other than raw numbers is a massive bias to Trump because they've been conditioned to seeing intensely negative coverage from other media. It's just a mild bias just like you would see from Washington Post or New York Times to Hillary vs Sanders.

Breitbart is a site which supports unconservative principles. They are supporting idolatry, which is never good.

I don't complain about Redstate. I just don't read it.

I can't fathom why there are such tears about a website that caters to the views of its readers.
