@dundeecake Yes, a ROYAL straight flush is the highest hand you can get and would beat 4 of a kind, but he didn't get a royal straight flush, he just got a regular one (not face cards) He would've gotten a straight flush, however he is missing the 2 of spades

@Iavasechui 9 is similar to 3, where you make your own party, so no real interaction there :( 5 is an AMAZING game though, best in the series of what i've played (still waiting for 6 though), even though 4 is my favorite. I loved the DS remake of 4, but i'll always prefer the nes game. I have NEVER gotten so into a story as i did that game, even back when i was a little kid, it's to this day my favorite game. You can't help but love the characters.

@Rezindez Yeah, XD the puff puff in DQ8 turns out be getting two slimes rubbed on your head, XD but your character doesn't know that as he's blindfolded. In 4 I felt it was less them trying to censor the game and more that the localization team either got lazy or were being pressured to release the game on a deadline that they just removed the feature rather than complete the translation. Still pissed about the removal though as it was 90% of the character development and half the text overall.

@Iavasechui Ah, what a shame though! And they also removed the infamous "Puff Puff" from Dragon Quest IV. I hate it when they try and make something as strangely mature as Dragon Quest and make it marketable for children. It probably isn't meant for children and deserves an E10 or a Teen at most. "Puff Puff" would probably be considered "suggestive", so there is no doubt it my mind it ould turn out to be E10.

@Rezindez They did not remove the party chat from 5, I have no idea about 6, 7, or 9. 8 has party chat, and if your into that sort of thing the ability to dress the mage as a bunny girl and even more revealing outfits. (XD I tend to not use those costumes as I'm a girl and have no desire to see her in them XD but they exist) 4 is the only one I know for sure they cut it out of, someone on gamefaqs is working on translating the missing party chats so that we can read them in english.

@Rezindez DQIV actually had an incredibly amount of personality, traits, and dialogue given to the cast. The English release of the DS version removed party talk, which was criminal considering it was some ridiculous amount of the game's dialogue (80%ish) and it was the only way to really experience the party member's.

I've never played any of the of the Dragon Quest games, but i bet its because the original Japanese translation didn't have the goofy accents like the American localization did.

What I like the most about Hyadain's DQ4 songs is that the characters don't have the goofy accents that they do in the game :P It's better this way! (It's still an awesome game, though.)

The annoying thing is, that Borya is counting the Ace as "1", and therefore low. Damn you Hyadain.

Borya, the old man, does have a Flush. All of his cards are in the same suit, Spades. Now he would have a Straight Flush if he had a 2 of Spades or a 7 of Spades in his hand. But he only has the Ace of Spades, therefore it counts as a Flush. Because, think about it, Meena had a Four of a Kind. If Borya DID have a Straight Flush, he would have BEATEN her thus ruining the point of the whole song. But a Four of a Kind beats a Flush, therefore Borya lost.

I don't know the names xD. But the old fool has a straight flush. I just thought that Hyadain doesn't know the Poker Hands.
