PEDOPHILES DO NOT DESERVE SYMPATHY. THEY ARE PREDATORS. THEY ARE COWARDS. THEY ARE SCUM.

IF YOU WONT GET HELP, YOU ARE NOT WORTH FORGIVING.

I don't get why watching child abuse is regarded as deplorable and illegal

There ya go, there is why they don't deserve sympathy.

watching any other crime is fine.

Watching what crime? Murder? That's illegal to watch/consume. Cannibalism? Illegal to watch/consume. Already you're fucking wrong, making excuses up. Fucking shut up and get help.

Snuff films are illegal in virtually every jurisdiction. Clips that happen to show people falling off buildings, drowning in a tidal wave, etc. aren't as explicit and aren't created with the intent of murdering someone for entertainment.

Watching someone commit the crime of murder on video, i.e. A snuff film. Is illegal. It is illegal to make a video of yourself committing murder, and it is illegal to own a video of someone killing somebody.

Cannibalism is also illegal (in the U.S.) to watch videos of, as that human being being consumed was A: Murdered. Or B: Was taken out of their grave. Both serious crimes. As well as the cannibalism itself.

is that law just not upheld by the legal system or something? because finding videos of people getting murdered is uncomfortably easy.

So is finding child pornography. And countless other illegal things, just because you're not arrested doesn't mean you're not committing a crime/a criminal.

No one said these things are hard to find, but just because there is a lot of it doesn't mean that it's acceptable, or not being enforced. The people who create/consume these things need help, and refuse to go get help, or admit they really need it. So the problem keeps feeding itself, and it's terrible.

I'm pretty sure you can't find child pornography by spending 30 seconds on google, but you can find videos of murder by doing so. hell, there are huge websites dedicated to that type of shit, so I have trouble believing that it's actually enforced in the US.

If the perpetrators aren't US citizens, American laws can't do too much to them. That's really all I can tell you, but if the people making/hosting those videos are american, there are intense legal consequences.
