The above album is of my convo with the mods of r/news .... These guys / gals I'm sure have to deal with a lot of shit being posted on a sub of their size... but the actions of some of the sub's mods take seem to be extraordinarily arbitrary. Climaxing in my case with a 30 day ban / 72 hour mute (already questionable IMO, but you be the judge) being upgrade without warning / any action on my part to a perma ban.
Going to attempt an appeal when my 72 hour mute is lifted (if it isn't upgraded to perma out of no where lol)... but given my experience so far I have my doubts I'll be successful.
I can't in good conscience let this post be taken as a general condemnation of the r/news mods... for instance u/elderthedog seems very reasonable and responsive... there are others as well that I have messaged on other occasions that seem to be great mods. Unfortunately it only takes a couple rotten apples to ruin it...
